Tina was Tommy’s girlfriend at the time. She also hated Kirsty, as she suspected she wasn’t treating Tyrone properly, so didn’t want to be in debt to her. As luck would have it, Izzy’s dad offered Tina a big chunk of cash to be a surrogate. Then, when Tina had paid off Tommy’s debts, he was hastily written out when Chris Fountain got the sack went off to Gran Canaria in a huff because he thought Tina was having it off with Gary.

Kirsty reminds me of one of my favourite lines, when Deirdre once said of Tyrone ‘He’s never been the same since her with the hair went for him with the Hoover attachment’

I dont remember Tina being our Tommy's girlfriend, and I had forgotten Tina had a dad. I mostly forget Tina.

Seriously hope Phil’s not dodgy, he’s a good character and Fizz is much better with him than Tyrone. I also like how Phil and Tyrone are reluctantly pally, a bit like the dynamic between Kevin and Tim when Tim and Sally first got together. However, let’s face it, Corrie characters don’t move to the country so Phil could well be dodgy and then Tyrone and Fizz will be able to go full circle and get back together. I’d prefer it though if Phil just bought Tyrone out of the house and then they could live there with the girls and Tyrone live in a flat, eventually to settle down with someone else.

Yes Owen was Izzy and Katie’s dad so he is jake and Joseph’s grandad. He was with Anna who is Gary’s mum so Izzy and Gary’s parents were a couple. It’s almost like eastenders

I know we’ve seen very little of Izzy since Covid hit, but even before then, she never seemed to show much interest in Joseph. You’d think, having lost her sister, she’d want to be as close to her nephew as possible.

I thought our Tommy ended up owing money to Rick Neelan (cos our Terry did a bunk) and that was why Tina had to do the surrogacy?

I think Joseph and Jake spend a lot of time listening to tapes together, along with little Liam.

Alina will return in a few years time with a child in tow, when the writers have run out of ideas.

I just checked the TV guide to see there's another episode tonight! I like to watch them 'live' if at all possible, and I think DH has had his fill of the telly being soaped up every evening. I really don't mind watching it upstairs in peace and quiet every now and again, especially with the house as full as it is right now, but DH will take the piss if he thinks there's a whiff of burning martyr about the place.

I'm going to watch it with a bar of Cadburys Old Jamaica for company.

The Abi and Kelly situation reminds me of David and Shona.
Shona's son murdered David's former wife, but still, in she comes into the Street , and ends up marrying David.
That is how Corrie works.

I don’t know why they ever needed Shona to be the killers mum. She could have just been a new love interest for David. There didn’t have to be the whole sick and twisted element to it.

Imran has asked SS to fast track an assessment so Kelly can live with them and Elsie. And if not then supported living? Right- so there are literally no other foster carers that Kelly can go to? Not a single one?

That’s a bit of a low blow from fizz to try an justify Tyrone having to sell the house. He knows how he feels about the house, she doesn’t need to go reminding him or anyone else about the bad times he had living there.
