More Corrie ‘excitement’…

OP posts:

Yay!!! Sams talking again. That makes me happy. They should have bloody done that yesterday.

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 26/12/2021 19:53

Nina is boring me to tears…

bantuknots73 · 26/12/2021 20:08

Just watched yesterday's episode. I honestly found it so so dry and uninteresting. I don't have much faith in tonight's episode either

TellingBone · 26/12/2021 20:15

Well that neatly ties off two problematic storylines. Hawp is redeemed and will never ever set a fire again and Sam speaks and shall never ever shut up.

I don't know how they are going to resolve the Abi/Kelly thing. Feels like it's building to an explosive conclusion.

GirlDinosaur · 26/12/2021 20:43

I love Roy but I don’t like the way he’s become some kind of oracle, espousing wisdom with zen-like calm. Yoda with a shopping bag.

OnTheBoardwalk · 26/12/2021 21:33

I actually liked some of the David scenes on Christmas Day and some of the bistro banter

Could have done without Tyrone and Phill

With all the sing along yesterday, I was seriously concerned the final shot was going to be a zoom in on Sam with him saying “Merry Christmas every one”
Spidey66 · 26/12/2021 22:42

See I listed loads and still forgot loads more!

Spidey66 · 26/12/2021 22:47

Oh and Alliyah and Zeedan

SpindleSpangle · 26/12/2021 23:25

Sam's voice is returning
Abi's anger is burning
Daniel is yearning

Notdoingthis · 26/12/2021 23:56

I love Daisy and Daniel.

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 27/12/2021 04:38

Has Abby forgotten that her actions were partly instrumental in Natasha's death?

JacquelineCarlyle · 27/12/2021 11:13

I've just watched the Christmas episode but not the Boxing Day one yet - I loved it. Banter and piss taking and a Christmas singalong, with most of the main characters making some sort of appearance. Much better than misery, murder, affairs and death! More of that please.

The writing does seem to be including more banter, sarcasm and witty one-liners which is one of the reasons I've always loved Corrie, so I hope that continues!

PumpOutTheBilge · 27/12/2021 12:19

The Christmas Day episode was going fine until the absurd Tyrone / new man fight in the street. If you’re going for slapstick, at least do it well.

I hate Abi, awful character.

SpindleSpangle · 27/12/2021 12:40

I'm also rather tired of the Abi / Kelly Neelan situation. The scene in the bistro was risible, and I don't mean that in a good way.

strugglingwithlife · 27/12/2021 12:59

I must admit, I hated Daisy for ages, but I think she's ok now

eggandonion · 27/12/2021 13:15

Abi needs to go somewhere for some non specific treatment. All this is doing is making me feel sorry for Kelly. Poor Natasha is never mentioned.

I felt the same & now really like her too.
Deadringer · 27/12/2021 16:00

Abby is turning into a nasty bully, i mean i don't blame her in the circumstances, but it's very unpleasant to watch.

icecreamgirl94 · 27/12/2021 18:56

Daisy is definitely becoming a better character, but I can’t get past her spiking Ryan into sleeping with her. That is never ok and she’s clearly got away with it.

Honeygoldcaramel · 27/12/2021 19:13

I understand why they are keeping Kelly on the street as they obviously want to keep the character but in RL if Kelly genuinely wanted to make it up to Abi she’d stay as far away as possible.

I must admit it does irk me that Kelly was let off, when in RL I’m fairly sure she would be convicted of something. Murder, no, but she was far from the sweet, tearfully innocent little blonde she’s now being portrayed as.

JacquelineCarlyle · 27/12/2021 19:26

I completely agree @Honeygoldcaramel

Honeygoldcaramel · 27/12/2021 19:39

According to joint enterprise Kelly is guilty. It’s a bit annoying Corrie have doggedly pressed it as otherwise.

eggandonion · 27/12/2021 19:53

Kelly should go off to hairdressing college in a land far away. Abi should go and get some treatment, for grief and anger. Sam needs a few more sessions with George and Hawp.
I almost wish Alina would return.

That annoys me so much too.
