@MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry

Shock really? For a whole funeral?
Who knows, but I know the mark up is massive.

It was just a silly thing in a TV show, it's not a documentary!

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 25/12/2021 23:14

Ken and his hand bells made me laugh! The most unrealistic part was Abi spending Christmas Day with the twins Confused

It’s definitely not a documentary! Grin

That was quite weird, out of the blue she had gifts for them. Their parents (they have been adopted, haven't they) just left them with her. Usually social services are involved in any contact as it's confusing. And where was Jack?
lonsdaleshorts · 26/12/2021 09:20

I thought the twins lived in Australia? So weird.

Roy coming back made me cry a little.

lollipoprainbow · 26/12/2021 09:59

Yes where was Jack ? She made a bit thing about Christmas and then he was missing! Is Roy back for good ? If thought the actor said he wasn't coming back.

VanGoghsDog · 26/12/2021 10:01

I mean, it was nice Roy came back, but he's only been gone about two weeks, not a decade!

Toottoot11 · 26/12/2021 11:52

I loved it. 'Aqua man!'...it was really ice to watch on Christmas day...

But...and a big but. Wtf was the twins doing having Christmas Dinner with Abby? Do the writers think we are thick? I can't get my head around it!!!

Toottoot11 · 26/12/2021 11:53

*nice

Clawdy · 26/12/2021 12:14

Hope the twins aren't going to become a regular fixture, there are enough kids appearing sporadically whose names I can never remember!

lonsdaleshorts · 26/12/2021 12:16

It was good to see normal stuff so no murders, shootings, affairs, divorces etc etc.

Clawdy · 26/12/2021 12:18

Although buying someone a coffin for Christmas isn't really normal stuff......Grin

MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers · 26/12/2021 12:19

The sing song at the end was really lovely. Phil and Tyrone were also very funny. More of that please and less murder/betrayal/funeral parlour shite.

Juletide · 26/12/2021 12:26

Don't envy Fiz, what a choice, Dumb or Dumber.

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 26/12/2021 12:32

More of that please

Please no!! That was so painful. And Phil has started out so well!

Spidey66 · 26/12/2021 14:59

I was thinking last night how many of the Corrie kids/young adults have lost a parent….Nina (both) Dev’s twins, Joseph, Max (both) Lily, Harry, Kelly, Bethany (didn’t Neil die?) , Summer….seems only the quads and Amy have both parents alive!

Spidey66 · 26/12/2021 15:01

Oh and Jack, Ruby and Hope

MaryAndGerryLivingInDerry · 26/12/2021 15:09

And sam.

Juletide · 26/12/2021 15:13

Sam, Jake's surrogate mother is dead.

Clawdy · 26/12/2021 15:14

And Simon. And Bertie!

Clawdy · 26/12/2021 15:17

Oh, and Liam!

Juletide · 26/12/2021 15:23

Does Emma count? The man she believed to be her father died when she was first in it.

eggandonion · 26/12/2021 15:34

Also the number of parents who forget about their kids for months. Gary never mentions his offspring, poor Harry seems to live in a 24 hour nursery, Faye languishing in prison for months until she was randomly remembered, rosie and Sophie, Bethany....Sean has forgotten his child, luckily the writers have too.

VanGoghsDog · 26/12/2021 15:43

We could do another list of the adults who have both parents alive - an equally short list!
ColonelNobbyNobbs · 26/12/2021 17:53

David and Steve. That’s all I can think of!
