I quite like the gentle lampooning of Sally's Hyacinth Bucket tendencies.

I really, really don’t! I find it ageist and sexist, I watch classic Corrie and Sally is a completely different character to what is portrayed today, Sally and Gail used to be normal human beings with interesting personalities and storylines, now they are just joke characters to be laughed at, not laughed with, they always do this to middle aged women, never men, how the Sally Dyneover and Helen Worth put up with it is beyond me, guess it pays the bills.

I agree with you @AmberLynn1536, but tbf they’ve also made Steve and Tim thick as two short planks. They don’t have personalities anymore. They’re just idiots. They almost make Kirk look smart. They don’t even have their friendship anymore.

And also Maria having a go at Sally for going to prison for fraud (for which she was acquitted) Maria really did commit fraud! and served a prison sentence! This seems to have been completely forgotten by the writers, why does no one point this out? I find it infuriating as a viewer. Also can you hold public office if you have been convicted of fraud?
