I’ve just read it starts Friday 19th. Please be good. Please be good. Please be good…
SapatSea · 05/12/2021 12:59
I have also read that there are 8 episodes and that season 2 has been commissioned.
Zampa · 10/12/2021 22:28
Sophie Okonedo is fabulous!
NynaeveSedai · 11/12/2021 07:38
Loved episode six on the whole. It's really good.
Whinge · 11/12/2021 10:15
I've never known an hour to fly by as quickly as it did when watching that episode. 😄 It was brilliant.
NurseButtercup · 11/12/2021 11:29
@Zampa
Absolutely agree! Thee best casting choice a Queen portraying a Queen!!
SapatSea · 11/12/2021 12:35
Awesome. Strong women
Ubiquery · 11/12/2021 14:48
I really enjoyed episode 6, I think that the older women are coming across as more interesting characters than the kids, but that could be my age.
Is it me, or does Liandrin have quite a striking face? I can't put my finger on.
Campervan69 · 11/12/2021 18:32
Loving it. Its a fabulous series. I'm starting the second book as well, enjoying the books as much as the series. Wish I could tap into the one source to smooth my complexion and make me ageless 😁
dyingplant · 11/12/2021 21:08
Great episode. I love the speed they're keeping up, and that Rosamund Pike really shows Moraine has a lot of very intensely controlled emotions. She's making her a very compelling character.
GrouchyKiwi · 12/12/2021 21:24
Episode 6 was mixed for me, mostly because of how it deviated from the books.
Sophie Okenedo is amazing, though.
littlbrowndog · 13/12/2021 20:56
Liked epoxied 6 a lot
On I think book 7 now
SapatSea · 13/12/2021 21:31
Book 7 really ? - wow it is keeping up a pace. Most series cover one book a season. Maybe now they have season2 commissioned they'll slow the pace down.
GrouchyKiwi · 13/12/2021 21:33
The show is still (sort of) in Book 1, though some things from Book 2 have happened.
NynaeveSedai · 13/12/2021 21:36
@SapatSea
I think pp meant they are reading book 7 themselves
CrossPurposes · 14/12/2021 00:06
That was enjoyable. It helped that Rosamund Pike's wig was better in a few scenes :-)
Campervan69 · 15/12/2021 17:30
I find her smile quite odd. Like she has veneers that are too big for her mouth. Remember noticing this in True Blood as well. Assume they had all been given new teeth for filming.
FiloPasty · 17/12/2021 15:35
Sad that there is only one episode left? Any recommendations for similar things to watch?
I’ve seen The Witcher, Shannara chronicles etc on Netflix
SapatSea · 17/12/2021 17:29
Shadow and Bone
Locke and Key
Cursed ( but it was cancelled after one season)
Dozer · 17/12/2021 17:32
Thought would try the books first, am on book two, have mixed thoughts about it, interesting plot but not a fan of the writers’ style.
FiloPasty · 17/12/2021 19:51
@SapatSea seen both of those but not cursed is it Netflix? I’ve just realised Witcher season 2 has just launched so ill watch that :)
Campervan69 · 17/12/2021 20:26
I'm enjoying season 2 of Witcher so far. Must not binge. Must not binge.
Whinge · 18/12/2021 10:38
I really enjoyed episode 7, especially the opening scene that was just fantastic.
My only complaint is I wish there were more episodes, I can't believe there's only 1 left for this season. 🙁
NynaeveSedai · 18/12/2021 10:56
It's so disappointing that they were only given 8 episodes, I can't understand it after the money and hype they put into it. Maybe it was a covid decision as the studio was probably more strapped than when they started
GrouchyKiwi · 18/12/2021 11:32
Episode 7 was the best so far, even with me yelling about a few changes that were completely out of character.
Good action, the story moved along a lot, and I like how they did Machin Shin.
SapatSea · 18/12/2021 14:29
Cursed is on Netflix Filopastry. Britannia might also be worth a look if you binge Witcher too quickly.
Like all of you I also can't believe there is only one episode left - whoosh! but I guess that is because we enjoy it so much. I liked this episode - the first part was really epic (love the hexagonal stones, like the basalt columns in the Giant's Causeway and a few other places) but I felt they spent a bit too long on the Love issues. It was still great though. Greats et up for next week's finale.
