I can imagine the Bryce girlfriend thing is true for at least some part of the show (and then he finished it in his mind without telling the girl!), and producers found out and have really gone in on him because of it. Hence both Booka and girlSam just so happening to have a friend of a friend with information even though none of them would have known who they are.

I agree Bec has just waited for the first opportunity to blame Jake although I wish he hadn’t put himself in that situation and just dumped her first.
