I think that Anton and Craig had brain storms last night! Craig being misery misery misery Anton being woah woah his marking was weird!!!

I wonder if Dan gets through again he’ll withdraw like that make contestant did years ago (was it John Sargent) when he realises public voting and not his dancing ability are getting him through, and that as a result more skilful and deserving dancers are being kicked out.

I feel like a callous bitch for not liking Rose and Gio's CC. Found it rather syrupy. I get the message, but I still didn't like the dance. Must admit I am prejudiced against nearly all CC's though, esp the barefoot wafty ones.
I agree with this.
The dancing I’m silence was very affecting and moving, but I still hated the barefoot contempowaft that sandwiched it.

I don't think it would cross Dan's mind to do that and to be honest I wouldn't blame him. He is the worst dancer left but he isn't the car crash that previous duffers (Anne Widdecombe etc) have been.

We voted for Rose and Gio, AJ and Kai and John and Johannes.

Thought AJ was very undermarked. We loved Rose and Gio's dance! I shed a wee tear. Found Shirley's standing ovation a bit cringe, but loved the dance. I am a sucker for the barefoot wafts though.

I thought Motsi and Tess looked amazing last night too. Not keen on Claudia's dress at all. A bit guest on a 90s cruise I thought. Usually I love her clothes, and don't like Tess's, so that was a weird one.

He isn't anything like as awful as John Sargeant!!

Also think Dan needs to go! They're not even interesting tbh. Don't mind poor dancers if they're otherwise entertaining, but bless him, he seems lovely, but he is neither a good dancer, nor entertaining.

He was never going to win as it's primarily a popularity competition, not a dance competition. Lots and lots of people don't like a Ringer.

In terms of leaving, I think it should go

Dan, Tilly, Sara (in any order)
Tom (unless he suddenly improves)
Rhys (he was only good at the Charleston because it suited his frenetic style)
Leaving AJ, Rose and John in the final. Rose to win (their show dance should be good!)

Claud's shoes looked sooo uncomfortable . There are going to be a lot of old ladies in 20 years time with terrible feet\not to mention their backs ! Due to that type of shoe! Tess's dress looked like a miner's bandage!

If I remember correctly (someone please correvt me if necessary ) some people choose to use Deaf (with a capital D) to represent those deaf people who use BSL, rather than deaf (lower case) which may include others such as those who have hearing loss or impairment.

Pretty much, it's like culturally Deaf rather than clinically deaf. If I suddenly developed a profound loss in one ear and a mild loss in the other I would be deaf. My son who was born with a profound hearing loss and goes to groups with other deaf children is Deaf. Although cochlear implants muddy the waters a bit - we don't sign much because he just doesn't need to, which lots of Deaf don't approve of but most are content that I've made the effort to take lessons from a Deaf tutor and we know enough to get by. (I will teach him more when he is older but don't want to confuse him when he's learning phonics at school)

I love how Danny Mac still comes up almost daily on the Strictly threads their Samba is the stuff of legend!

@SunshineCake1 On the Home of the Strictly Spoiler website, they have a poll where you can vote for your favourite dancers and AJ has always been in the top three along with John and Rose. Tilly, Dan and Rhys are nearly always at the bottom. I would say it gives a fair reflection of the official vote. By the way, don’t visit the website if you don’t want to know who went out!

I very, very rarely rewatch a dance with the exception of Jay and Aliona’s jive but I can see myself rewatching Rose’s dance from this week year after year.

It’s getting ridiculous the scores Dan got last night ....he’s dull , can’t dance and is monotonous....surely he has to be out tonight ! This series is poor in comparison to other years...

The various polls are interesting but they often have blind spots because they capture the views of keen SCD fans rather than casual viewers and people who aren't actually SCD fans but are fans of specific celebs. This year they're demonstrably underranking Tom's vote as proved by last weekends's result, and I think they're overranking Tilly's.

However the contestants with pre-existing fan bases tend to have a natural limit, I can't see Tom picking up many additional votes from other celebs who drop out.

I didn’t like AJs dance, I fast forwarded it last night as I found it dull, reading this I thought I must have missed something so just rewatched it. I’m no dancer so am not watching with expert eyes but it just seem like she was moving from one dramatic pose to another punctuated by the music. There were a few times where her posture seemed to drop or she just didn’t seem comfortable. I usually like her.

Usually I don’t like Dan, but his was OK tonight. Probably the first one I haven’t fast forwarded.

Usually get bored of wafty dances but loved Rose and Gio, even showed 17 year old son who said ‘cool’ before walking off. So that’s better than a 10 from Craig if you’re reading Rose (or Rose’s mum!)

Faves last night were Rose and Tom.
AJ I think was let down by poor choreography.

I thought the comments were right for AJ's dance but she was under marked. I didn't like it much either. Apart from Aljaž's fierce face.

There have always been a lot of old ladies with terrible feet. When I was young (70s/80s) I had a great aunt with dreadful bunions thanks to the winkle pickers she wore as a girl; she used to caution me against shoes that ruin your feet... and I probably should have listened.

I do think sometimes going later can be an advantage — the judges have forgotten what they've marked everybody else by the end!

If you're in the first two or three, they 'set' the marking with the first one, and for the next one they can easily think "was it better, worse, or as good?". After seeing more I think that gets harder.
