Evening all. Late here as we had a family dinner. Oh my golly gosh Rose's dance... I had been warned it would make me emotional but I absolutely sobbed all the way through her dance. Particularly the silent part. As the mother of a deaf young man I am so so proud of Rose and all she is achieving. Wilfs deafness was missed at birth and he wasnt diagnosed till he was 2 and a quarter.. He took to sign language straight away and he is a proud user of BSL and Makaton. He is always promoting it on FB and wherever he goes. I actually stopped while shopping in Tesco on Wednesday and propped my phone up against a box so we could have a chat. I'm nowhere near as good at signing as he is but I get by and we understand each other. He learnt total communication so he can communicate with deaf oral and deaf signing people. When he was learning to speak we had fun and games. When he tried to say Mother it came out as Bugger!! We had many instances of him galloping round shops looking for me and yelling "Bugger, Bugger!" with gay abandon and other shoppers glaring at me... Wilf is proud to be part of the deaf community and I'm very proud to be his Mumma... 💙 ♥

I agree Rhys stumbled slightly with the lifts but I think it was still so brilliant on technique that it was worth slightly more marks than Rose's dance. While gorgeous and moving it wasn't quite spot on with the technique of contemporary dance.

Hope Sara goes, I think she's had one or two good dances but also I could have happily seen her go in Week 1 instead of Nina.

That’s how I feel about Sara. I thought her dance last night was good, but there’s been nothing standout amazing for me in any of her dances so far, and as a pp said, I get the impression she thinks she’s better than she is

I can't remember J&J thrusting and bum shaking in any other dance. You do realise they were dancing a Samba? Wwhy shouldn't they hug? As a PP has already explained, this is a massive deal to them. Are you equally offended by Aljaz and Gio telling their dance partners that they love them?

I missed last nights episode. But managed to see the results board and the lines opening so voted 3x AJ. Why was she bottom of the leaderboard? Did something go catastrophically wrong

AJ danced first didn't she? I think she was pretty fairly marked and some of the others were overmarked as the show progressed. Craig seems to be trying to rein things in, but the others have given some ridiculously high scores for good rather than outstanding performances.

I loved the samba. I like to see people enjoying themselves. Also I couldn't possibly do most of these things with my body. I'm not constructed correctly. How do you even do that chest waggle thing?!

Rhys shouldn’t have got 40 for that dance I think he’s great and outdances nancy regularly but lifts were clunky - AJ last week I preferred

This is true.

I think AJ has also been routinely undermarked.

I think Rhys has lost marks in some dances because his style can feel frenetic and uncontrolled. But last night I felt he was totally in control of his movements and it really worked for him.

Read that Tilly is being pushed to the final so the Beeb can poach dad and that AJ isn't getting the public vote.

Is Gordon Ramsay even that important a TV presence in the UK anymore? None of his programmes have been primetime draws really.

I feel like a callous bitch for not liking Rose and Gio's CC. Found it rather syrupy. I get the message, but I still didn't like the dance. Must admit I am prejudiced against nearly all CC's though, esp the barefoot wafty ones.

I agree with this. The dancing I’m silence was very affecting and moving, but I still hated the barefoot contempowaft that sandwiched it.

Oh @MyCatEatsPrawnCrackers that was not intentional, but yes on hindsight deffo a Freudian slip.

On the Rose and Gio the words of the song are so poignant, hearing symphonies and dancing to your heart beat, and when she covers his ears before the silence, oh I'm gone every time I watch it.

If I remember correctly (someone please correvt me if necessary ) some people choose to use Deaf (with a capital D) to represent those deaf people who use BSL, rather than deaf (lower case) which may include others such as those who have hearing loss or impairment.

Just watched on catch up, thought the marking was all over the place.

Rhys stumbled and it wasn't a perfect 10, AJ was definitely under marked and should not have been at the bottom.

My votes, if they counted would be AJ x2 and Rose.
