It’s time for Dan to go, he was so preachy with the jibes about training. Craigs score was too low but otherwise he was overmarked, in what world did his dance deserve a 9?!

Some very odd judging tonight.

Loved Rhys, the Charleston really suited him. Rose blew me away, I usually hate contempowaft but I loved that. Even before the silent dancing, there was just so much joy in both Rose’s and Giovanni’s faces. They just looked like a young couple in love enjoying dancing together. Add the silent dancing and then Rose making Giovanni cry with what she said. I love their partnership so much.

I really like AJ and Kai but this wasn’t their best dance - she definitely shouldn’t have been bottom of the leaderboard though, that is a travesty.

I liked Dan and Nadiya. She seems to be really enjoying herself this series and I like seeing that. They seem to get on really well.

I always forget Tom is in it. I don’t know why, I have nothing against him, just don’t find him or his dances very memorable. Shame as I do like Amy and agree with whoever said upthread that she looked beautiful tonight.

I voted 2x for AJ, 2x for Dan, 1x for Rose and 1x for Rhys. I know Rose and Rhys don’t really need the votes but they were my favourite dances. Then I voted for AJ and Dan because I like them both and they do need the votes. I usually vote for John, but I didn’t love his dance tonight and I think he’ll be safe anyway.

Or indeed to the other deaf competitors who apparently were told not to mention it...

Rose and Gio what a partnership, crying here, what a fantastic role model she is, just admire her so much. Loved the silent part so emotional.
Loved AJ and Kia no way should the bottom, loved Rhys Charleston too usually too frantic but this week it all came together and bless him he was overcome.
John and Johannes samba was just pure joy could watch again and again.
I just didn’t get excited by Tilly’s dance this week and I think that Dad always gets wheeled out to boost her votes.
Might be her or Dan or Sarah in the dance off

Rose is a lovely dancer but I think what really makes it special is the partnership - the partnership seems to bring out a different quality to Giovanni’s dancing, and they are very in tune with each other.

But then my dance watching of choice outside of strictly is ballet and contempowaft so I’m probably a bit wafty in my tastes

I think part of why Gio and Rose are working so well is that he's having to tailor his teaching completely to her — I think often teachers will have stock phrases or examples they'll use, but with her he's having to come up with a lot of new ways of explaining. And she seems so keen to learn and wants to do well (and is naturally quite good which helps!), it's a really nice partnership.

Tilly and AJ ok but they bore me so much.

Rose is Deaf, not deaf.

Ben Cohen is described as profoundly deaf or clinically Deaf depending on the article and Stephanie Beacham has absolutely no hearing in one ear (80% in the other).

I think Rose is a fantastic dancer, I just think it's a bit unfair they say she's the first deaf contestant (they did say "deaf" not "Deaf" in the press releases). Obviously it's so much better this way than not mentioning it at all — but the others could have been equally good role models for deaf/Deaf children.

I just think it's a bit hypocritical in a way that Strictly are saying it's so inspirational when in the past they forced people to mask it.

I think she's a good dancer and would like to see her again next week and I'm another member of the Kai fan club.

Unfairly at the bottom of the leader board and at risk. A great dancer.

I gave all 3 votes to AJ. She's a fabulous dancer and doesn't deserve to leave yet. I would like to see her in the final with Rose. Also, AJ deserved a 40 last week.

I think Tilly and Sara are vulnerable tonight. Tilly has the disadvantage of having been in the dance off last week and going first without a very memorable dance. Sara isn't low enough on the leaderboard to attract a lot of votes and it wasn't the most memorable AT.

Ah, I sobbed through the silent section of Rose's dance. That was beautiful.

I must be very hormonal because I'm getting distracted by Gio and Kai. Usually I can't stand Giovanni's arrogance but I'm seeing a different side to him this season. And Kai has something lovely about him. Not my usual type but there's just something about him.

I thought AJ was undermarked. Her paso wasn't perfect but it was still bloody good.

I think final will be Rose, John and Rhys...I think AJ has dropped off a bit ...surely Dan should be out tomorrow....he’s overstayed his welcome

Absolutely love Aj and Kai, quite possibly my favourite strictly couple ever.

I like Dan and thought he did quite well this week (not well enough for 8s and 9s though) but was put off by his mini speech afterwards.
Rhys danced well but he didn't deserve 40. One lift stood out as being really clunky and awkward.
John's chest and Jojo's bum sold that Samba.

AJ's Charleston is one of the best Strictly dances ever!
