Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

I'm just watching no. 3 with older couple. I love these shows and I've just had a massive decluttering over the last few months so I know how much better it is afterwards.

None of them have been as bad as my brother's house though. I knew it was bad but it is so much worse than these houses, Stacey would lose her mind and the decluttering lady might cry.

Rummikub · 26/11/2021 16:19

I’ve got clean it fix it on. I like this one because they give you nice tips for DIY and cleaning. Not that I ever use them. Although I did just clean the hob.

catfunk · 26/11/2021 22:14

Oh that last couple with the toddlers were in a right mess weren't they. I absolutely couldn't live like that. Poor kids!

Rummikub · 26/11/2021 22:27

Gorging on declutter programmes and clean it fix it - I have sorted my kitchen and found my special earrings!

Newpuppymummy · 27/11/2021 12:56

Love this show but how could one year olds sleep in bunk beds!!

Newpuppymummy · 27/11/2021 12:56

I’d love to see a one year later programme to see if they’ve been able to maintain it

ElephantOfRisk · 27/11/2021 13:07

Surely it's just like a single/toddler bed? Just put a bed guard on? The bottom bunks looked lower than many normal single beds.

My two were both climbers so were in beds rather than cots from about 14 months.

Me too!

I thought the family were lovely. I think with the prams they had one suitable for one child and then along came another so they needed another but that wasn’t suitable for twins. At least one of the prams they were referring to on the show was a toy pram. I did wince at the shot of them in the car where at least two of the kids weren’t fastened in properly.

Newpuppymummy · 27/11/2021 15:48

@ElephantOfRisk it looked like the ladder would have prevented a safety guard. Plus surely danger of them on that ladder

bonitaaurelia · 30/11/2021 14:55

Been watching these and love them, very inspired to try and attempt organising.

I have adhd and saw a lot of similarities with the mum who had 4 under the 4, with all the laundry everywhere, doom cupboards and caravan, total chaos and confusion. I do wonder sometimes whether some of the participants have underlying issues beyond being a bit disorganised.

I noticed Stacey seems to paint and ‘upcycle’ IKEA furniture on the show? Pretty sure the ombre paint sample drawers were IKEA, I’d always assumed they weren’t really fit for painting.

JumpLeadsForTwo · 30/11/2021 21:51

I'm now working my way through "Clean it, fix it" which I love - such a gentle show with 3 lovely presenters. I like the fact it isn't the Tommy show, but they each have an equal part to play.

Pegasussnail · 30/11/2021 22:04

I love all the presenters on Clean It Fix It
The are lovely and job done without judgement.
Getting lots of ideas from it.

I'm not in the UK so watching on YouTube.

Rummikub · 30/11/2021 22:52

Oo is on you tube?

Pegasussnail · 01/12/2021 00:19

Yes some episodes are on YouTube (I can't get bbc player)

Rummikub · 02/12/2021 16:26

Virtually home is the new nbc offering.
Like your home made perfect but just one room

Rummikub · 02/12/2021 16:26

Bbc offering

Doomscrolling · 02/12/2021 17:23

@batmanladybird

Has anyone on this thread done any decluttering based on watching Stacey
Yes! Got adult son to pull everything out of the cupboard under the stairs and hover it. I sorted everything and we had a bag to bin, a bag to donate and everything else reorganised. Now I know I don’t need to buy and wrapping stuff for Christmas!
ElephantOfRisk · 02/12/2021 21:31

Enjoyed this week's, what a very loving family. The dad looked so young!

Rummikub · 02/12/2021 21:43

Rob worked really hard this week!

They were lovely, I was teary at the end. And yes, the dad looked incredibly young - if he hadn't had the beard he could have been another brother!

CliffsofMohair · 02/12/2021 21:55

@Anoisagusaris

I only saw this week’s one, really good. Stacey seems to have a real knack for this sort of stuff.

There’s a similar Irish show that’s been on the go for a few years now called Home Rescue.

I bloody love Home Rescue. RTÉ should export it and you can all appreciate it 😊

When the family first came on the screen, I actually did think the dad was one of the kids!
Carriemac · 03/12/2021 06:45

I can watch 'home rescue ' on the rte player app .
This weeks family on sort your life out were lovely but I really felt for th girl- how is laundry her responsibility? As the only girl in a daily of boys I was brought up the same way and I really resent it now .

RandomMess · 03/12/2021 08:34

Carriemac I felt the same what was wrong with the eldest that he couldn't share the domestic chores!

Carriemac · 03/12/2021 15:45

Maybe his penis prevented him helping 😳
