Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

Who with 4 young DC irons???

The DC didn't actually know what the ironing board was 🤣 iron was for hama beads and name tapes!

Carriemac · 25/11/2021 20:59

200
Bibs !

RandomMess · 25/11/2021 21:00

We have 4 DC and lived in a 20' x 22' house so comparable. Geez we had to be ruthless, decent storage, minimal clothes for the girls.

In so appreciative of my DH minimalist tendencies.

Bluepinkyellowcakes · 25/11/2021 21:01

Bunk beds for kids that age?! With no side guards on the lower ones and nothing to stop one year old climbing up ladders?!

Rummikub · 25/11/2021 21:01

@woodhill

I don't understand why they have so much stuff and toys

Why have they bought so many prams for example, why not use the same one again

I’m going to seek out that pram parlour and sell mine!

987 cards is phenomenal.

RandomMess · 25/11/2021 21:09

Yeah I said about the bunk beds too!!!

We took the bottom rungs off our ladders so the youngest ones couldn't climb up.

VitalsStable · 25/11/2021 21:12

That ironing board was way too low.

grafittiartist · 25/11/2021 21:13

I totally get the cards thing. Can't throw them.

Crumblinginside · 25/11/2021 21:19

Lovely couple on it tonight. So glad they found her ring 💍

ThePoetsWife · 25/11/2021 21:29

Does anyone know where that warehouse/hall is?

Meredusoleil · 25/11/2021 21:31

Flipping heck though! 4 kids under the age of 4 in a 2 bed house. No wonder they didn't have enough space for all their stuff 🤪

Rummikub · 25/11/2021 21:31

It looks lovely doesn’t it.
Did they call it Central something?

Wow, what a nasty thing to say. They were a lovely couple and I doubt most people with 4 under 4 would have a pristine looking house.

LeonoraFlorence · 26/11/2021 09:33

Just home from school/nursery run. Baby is sleeping so I’m sitting with a coffee about to watch last nights episode.

LeonoraFlorence · 26/11/2021 09:34

Oh my goodness, the caravan is jam packed too!

LeonoraFlorence · 26/11/2021 09:39

They seem like lovely, happy family. Just overwhelmed. Glad they’ve called in the show to help them :) We have 5 DDs and I can honestly see how they have ended up so overwhelmed with things.

MoltenLasagne · 26/11/2021 10:06

The latest episode was very sweet - I find life manic enough with one baby, so goodness knows how they cope with 4 under 4.

What I don't get is how they end up with so much stuff in the first place - how do you have 200 bibs for example? And the cost of that too! It's like burning money...

LeonoraFlorence · 26/11/2021 10:14

I imagine they ended up with so many because they couldn’t find the ones they had in the first place! So just kept having to buy instead of digging them out.

Crumblinginside · 26/11/2021 10:47

I didn't find them gormless at all Confused
I thought she was a very well spoken women and he was a good solid dad.
They are doing their very best for their children. I only have two and I am only coming back to myself now they are in school and I am part time.

MLMshouldbeillegal · 26/11/2021 11:18

I do love this show. Stacey is so warm and genuine and the team make such a difference to families who are struggling - that poor couple with 4 kids under the age of 4, no wonder they were living in a tip.

my ONLY criticism is when you see them pile stuff into sell, donate and recycle zones. I am a charity shop volunteer and on the receiving end of a lot of decluttering efforts. Some people are amazing and are really ruthless, will only donate stuff which we can sell and make money on. Others, especially those who have a real issue with getting rid of stuff, will give us all sorts of tat because the idea of donating it is easier for them than chucking it out. But really - there's no market for fake handbags, DVD boxes without any DVDS in them, chipped cups, clothing which is torn and stained, dolls without their heads or games with all the bits missing.

Yes we can recycle a lot of it but not all of it and it costs us money to get rid of the head-less dolls and chipped mugs, when people could have just chucked them in the domestic rubbish.

I really hope the same people who must spend HOURS laying everything out in sections, neatly displayed and colour coordinated take the same approach to the stuff which ends up in the donate pile, and that it's just not all shown on camera.

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 26/11/2021 12:49

@VitalsStable

That ironing board was way too low.
Glad it wasn't just me who noticed that! As soon as Stacey flipped it out I thought, "Bloody hell, my back would be killing me after 10 minutes using that!" I also raised an eyebrow when they said the house was rented, (no stigma from me, am a renter myself), purely because it's generally accepted that you should never spend, (a lot of), money on improving someone else's house - they could be out on their ear in 6 months if the landlord wants to sell up. When they said the landlord had agreed to the improvements I thought, well of course they have, you're about to add value to their property at absolutely no cost to them!!
MeredithMae · 26/11/2021 14:36

I've reported Lucythewonderdogs comment- what a horrid thing to say- assuming you're just a mindless troll rather than a real human who thinks it's ok to call people/babies gormless.

I missed that it was rented- the landlord I'm sure won't mind it being painted and a wardrobe fitted in etc. But what about the bits he cut out of the skirting boards to fit the beds?!

So glad he found the ring and she found the hammer!

4 kids under 4, in a 2 bed house. I just can't even imagine. I really hope they keep it up!
