Absolutely loved it!

My list of big house jobs includes 'declutter' in every room so I was hoping to put off doing it be inspired. Loved Stacey Solomon though would have liked more from Ivan on the cleaning.

@TitsInAbsentia

Thanks so much! It came up on my screen today and I was wondering when it was coming

Rummikub · 17/01/2023 22:52

Oh thanks for the heads up!

i watched the Nick knowles version for new year. But prefer Stacey’s version. Though I love the designer on nicks version.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 17/01/2023 22:55

@Rummikub

Is the Nick Knowles one back? Or is it just the first series?

Please say it is...

They are the same program basically

Rummikub · 17/01/2023 22:59

I thought it was new series as I hadn’t seen it before.

@Rummikub

The one on now is Series 3! So I've even missed a series. You've made my night!

Rummikub · 17/01/2023 23:07

I realise I missed last weeks. Haven’t seen any trailers for it since the first one.

Glad to be of service!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 19/01/2023 18:12

I've already got myself sorted to watch BlushGrin

Rummikub · 19/01/2023 19:32

😃 me too

i like gordon whistance. He had his own makeover show which I liked.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 19/01/2023 19:43

Kind of wanted to give LOOK AT MY RABBITS woman a shake. Highly irritating and the sort of wet wipe if you were told they had a dirty house you'd be like yeah I believe based on meeting them!

Rummikub · 19/01/2023 19:46

How old were the boys? The dad must’ve brought home a lot of stuff from his job.
I have a lot of clutter but those piles of clothes in the conservatory!

Twospaniels · 19/01/2023 19:50

How long til they fill it up again?

Those boys look old enough to move out

Twospaniels · 19/01/2023 19:52

The twin girls bedroom still looks rather childish in that bright pink

Rummikub · 19/01/2023 20:01

Yeah I thought that about the twins room.

5 dogs?!!

Movinghouseatlast · 19/01/2023 20:07

What it didn't look at was how to stop it happening again. It's easy to ho into ( basically) a hoaders house, remove everything, redesign it and make it beautiful. If you don't actually work out why they have all colluded to live that way.

Where did the other son live? Had he left home or did we just not see his room?

I'm so glad I watched it because I learnt about the heat mat for under a rug!

Rummikub · 19/01/2023 20:11

Yes! I was most interested in the heat mat too!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 19/01/2023 20:20

Don't know how they fit the dogs in before

Meredusoleil · 19/01/2023 21:23

I think the eldest son didn't live at home anymore as Nick said it was a 3 bed house. So 1 room for the parents, 1 for the twins and 1 for the second son.

Tbf they do usually try to address the root of the problem which is often linked to some emotional trauma the family have suffered. Didn't seem ti be the case in tonight's episode though 🤔 More a case of a natural consequence of the dad's job imho.

Also, when is the Stacey Solomon show actually back on? Much prefer her version!

This Wednesday coming at 9pm

Rummikub · 19/01/2023 21:34

look forward to that!

MsMcGonagall · 23/01/2023 00:05

Looking forward to Wednesday!

LeonoraFlorence · 23/01/2023 08:33

Glad this is back on! I thought the designer did a brilliant job with the son’s room, moving the wall. I wondered about the twin girls room, had they just kept the beds as they were? Surely they wouldn’t have installed such childish beds for teens.

Yes they looked like the same beds to me!

BigBoysDontCry · 23/01/2023 13:12

They don't have the time to redo the whole house I don't think, so some rooms get a full makeover and others just get a declutter and clean. I'm guessing those were the original beds which had been underneath all the clutter. At least having all the rooms cleared will give the family a head start on redecorating/furnishing the ones not done by the design team.
