If Carrie is no longer with Big, I don’t think I want to watch the new SATC

I don’t know for sure, but I’ve heard rumours that Carrie has a new boyfriend in the new series And Just Like That. Not sure when it’s out. I know Big vs Aidan was a contentious issue, but I was always team Big, love him.

Love Steve! Miranda was hard work, Steve was awful cheating but they worked through it and love each other. I loved their reunion on Brooklyn Bridge!

Aiden ‘ooh yeah, gimme some sugar’ gave me the serious ick. Awful and deeply unsexy.

Big was honest about who he was and his limitations. Big Up Big. Still would.

SJP / Carrie was a self centred, needy, narcissist who had to be The Best Friend She hated Samantha (her off screen animosity/resentment of Kim C is so obvious in series 4,5 and 6. SJP became Exec Producer and the snide comments Carrie throws at Sammy J are both obvious and nasty).

Kim C and Cynthia are very good actors.

Big was too good for Carrie.

It’s already been announced that Samantha is not dead! The series starts with them having drifted apart and over the course of it Carrie realised how much she misses her. The really want Kim to come back.

I saw that @GoldenElephant. That Carrie fired Samantha as her publicist and it cause a falling out.

I’d be feeling very publicly passively aggressively attacked if I were KC.

Oh, I loved it when it was originally showing, but I tried to watch some again a few years ago, and it was so annoying. I guess when I was a twentysomething it all seemed terribly glamorous, but when you’re actually the age they’re meant to be (or older!) they are really juvenile and immature 🙁 Why can’t Carrie act like a grownup? Why is Charlotte so prissy? They act like women in their early twenties in the bodies of late 30-somethings.

I always preferred Big, have to say; Aidan was annoying and I couldn’t get my mind away from his character in Northern Exposure. The one played by Mikhail Baryshnikov was just totally implausible - but by that point the series had gone a bit non-realist and weird. Mind you nothing beats the second film - I was stuck on a Virgin Atlantic flight and the in-flight entertainment system had broken so SATC2 was the only thing they had showing. Trapped! With the worst film I’ve ever seen in my life. My jaw was just dropped open the entire time at how excruciatingly bad it was - and so long as well, two and a half excruciating hours!!!!

I just cannot see how the series can come back from that second film, and surely without Kim Cattrall and Stanford it will be a total flop. Just give it up with these reboots with ancient actors! They don’t work! Stop flogging dead horses! Agh.

And apart from Big, Harry is sex on (short) legs. His honesty, loyalty, compassion and love are deeply hot.

(Also adored Trey but for his brilliant portrayal and humour, not his shagability)

I heard he's in it but they're divorced. If so I'll be pissed off at the years of Big bullshit we had to endure only for them to be bloody divorced. I can't get over her forgiving him for LEAVING HER AT THE FUCKING ALTER and yet dumping Aleksandr for 'having to work a bit'. In fact I've now decided now is the perfect time for my rant.

She meets a handsome Russian artist who is shitting money. They have a wonderful time and he moves her to Paris, pays for eeeeeverything and she lives in a beautiful, luxurious hotel which I couldn't even afford to cross the threshold. But, OMG he has to work a bit. So she's fucking crying on the phone about it. And there's not enough for her to do. IN PARIS. THERE ISNT ENOUGH FOR HER TO DO IN PARIS. ON AN UNLIMITED BUDGET. oh the hardship. The suffering. Literally. Come and live on our council estate and sit in the house with a disability while your husband works six days a week 12 hours a bloody day and still you can't afford to put the fucking heating on and THEN ring Miranda and fucking cry. You absolute spoilt brat. Jesus.

Me too. I hope the marriage has lasted. I hope Miranda has ditched Steve though.

Am I the only one who would like to see Miranda's life reflect Cynthia Nixon's? And have her discover her attraction to women after the end of the marriage. It's not super uncommon for older women to discover this about themselves in mid-life and could be interesting to see on the show.
