Anyone going to be watching?

If there's no 'twist' then it really doesn't hang together very well at all and the whole thing about the PI is very odd. She got into her husband's laptop in the first episode but I can't remember what she found - anyone remember?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2021 09:33

@MajesticWhine

It makes sense (sort of) that Ed is imaginary. Other theory on Twitter is that Ed was partner of the murdered woman and is trying to get her to kill her husband so he doesn't have to, as revenge for the affair.
Bit like th Agatha Christie movie when they kill someone else for each other

I don’t think he is in her imagination. Or else she has really lost the plot !

Jux · 19/10/2021 10:16

Oh I like Imaginary PI Theory. She killed Yuki(?) because dh was going to leave ABfor her. The violence towards AB is also imaginary and she did walk into a door to show some hint of dv, or we are seeing her imagination as she conjures up a story to justify her planned actions and if he did hurt her in was very minor and in self-defence; the reason he wants the kids is because she's psychotic and dangerous. The lunch is to placate her.......... the bulk of it is her hallucinatory psychosis.

LittleMysSister · 19/10/2021 10:23

What is making people think Ed is imaginary? It hadn't even crossed my mind - what have I missed?!

I'm on the 2nd train.

We haven't ever seen Ed and Olivier interact at all, so I'm wondering whether he actually even knows him. I think he will be something to do with Yuki or even something to do with Olivier's high-flying job and he wants Olivier dead.

He's fitting up Angela as the suspect - giving her the burner phone, getting her to break into his briefcase and put her finger prints all over that letter she found....

JellyTotCat · 19/10/2021 14:04

I'm enjoying this and will keep watching

the80sweregreat · 19/10/2021 18:49

I don't think the DI has anything to do with the husband, which means I'm probably wrong!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2021 19:39

He is a wife beater as R.E.M. we saw her tooth roll Across the floor

Classica · 19/10/2021 19:42

Yeah the violence can't be imaginary as we saw it unfold 5 mins into the first ep. And it wasn't in a flashback, or any of the usual trickery devices.

Inkanta · 19/10/2021 20:34

Yes I'm not getting imaginary/fantasy evidence. Angela seems in a state of disassociation to me - hence appearing aloof and distant.

Lightisnotwhite · 19/10/2021 20:59

She could be psychotic. No emotions when the dog that bit her got put down. Maybe she took the muzzle off hoping it would. We just assumed she liked the dog but maybe she was proving a point.

MajesticWhine · 19/10/2021 21:02

The violence has got to be real. Imagine at a time when violence and misogyny has been all over the news and then a tv show makes out the female domestic violence victim is imagining it all. I might be wrong but I don't think that would be a viable story line.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/10/2021 22:49

And seems more real as we only heard then saw the tooth and next day swollen lip and black eye

Plus guilt money

I thought that too . Maybe Edgewater is a hospital, perhaps she was sectioned.

Agreed
Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2021 20:29

Usual Sunday at work so will watch Tom

hellsbells323 · 24/10/2021 21:07

All getting a bit silly now...

Honeyroar · 24/10/2021 21:24

Anyone watching?

hellsbells323 · 24/10/2021 21:25

@Honeyroar yes I think he's faking being asleep, I think he knew she drugged him.

AdoptedBumpkin · 24/10/2021 21:29

I don't think this plan will work.

Honeyroar · 24/10/2021 21:30

You could be right!

hellsbells323 · 24/10/2021 21:31

Knew he wouldn't be dead! The two guys are either in cahoots or the hitman is a figment of her imagination.

SpindelWhorl · 24/10/2021 21:31

I've got it on in the background.

I think we need the brandies tbh.

AdoptedBumpkin · 24/10/2021 21:32

I wonder what's happened to the other guy?

dingit · 24/10/2021 21:33

Watching, but my crapometer is creeping up Grin
