Thank you! I never watched Emmerdale either (other than the air crash episodes) but thats where I recognise him from.

Sulky Sid is becoming a bit of a thing isn't he?

OP posts:
Raahh · 05/10/2021 13:51

Sid being sulky is really quite annoying.

Raahh · 05/10/2021 13:57

Is she after his garden? Or his flat?

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/10/2021 13:58

Mr Lumsden's daughter isn't being particularly lovely is she?

Hdhdjejdj · 05/10/2021 13:59

The daughter in this story seems preposterous. Why do they always make career women act like heartless bitches?

Raahh · 05/10/2021 13:59

The daughter is really quite rude.

Yup- she's trying to steal his garden.

Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:02

Ok, so she's not wanting to steal the garden Grin , she wants to buy it.

But I don't think he understood what she was asking.

Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:04

Is Ruhma not busy?

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/10/2021 14:04

Oh dear the women aren't lovely are they?

Hdhdjejdj · 05/10/2021 14:04

How could they not notice he’s so confused? It’s implausible.

Hdhdjejdj · 05/10/2021 14:05

There’s a women somewhere screaming for a midwife while Ruhma’s having a chat.

KilledByWitches · 05/10/2021 14:06

Ruhma is going to suggest pregnant girl helps out here isn't she?

OP posts:
Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:07

It really is ridiculous.
How on earth can they not see he is confused, at the very least.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/10/2021 14:08

I hope she doesn't, that's a stupid idea. The pregnant woman will have a baby to look after and Hamish doesn't seem to want to be involved. How unscrupulous can she be to try and get the garden off of him?!

Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:10

Babies need more than gardens. They don't even need gardens.

Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:11

I knew Hamish would turn up before 2.15 Grin

KilledByWitches · 05/10/2021 14:11

Is that it?! Meh.

OP posts:
Raahh · 05/10/2021 14:13

Killed it was definitely a filler episode.

And Ruhma spent more time with a man with dementia and his daughter, than the pregnant woman she was meant to be helping.

LIZS · 05/10/2021 14:13

Is it Dementia week?

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/10/2021 14:16

Ffs. Talk about an anti climax. Karen's in tomorrow's episode so hopefully someone gives her a listening ear and maybe we can get to the bottom of Sid's issues too (although he has had issues since he joined hasn't he?!). Remember when they had the life drawing classes and Emma got into a fight with Su without an E? I want daftness like that again!!

Binglebong · 05/10/2021 16:00

Oh god, not Su without an e! Silliness yes but I was constantly cringing with her.

Willowkins · 05/10/2021 16:07

The trouble with today's show was that they were trying to shoehorn a complex and distressing topic into 25 minutes. And then added baby drama along with a What's-going-on-with-Sid storyline. So it came across as a bit shallow.
Wait what am I saying - this is Doctors.

KilledByWitches · 05/10/2021 16:46

Sid needs a happy storyline, and Jimmi too actually. Just for once it would be great if they could meet a woman that wasn't absolutely batshit and be happy.
I'd even dig out a hat for that one.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 05/10/2021 16:56

Hope your am dram class went well yesterday Willowkins. I agree with you about trying to cram too much into today's episode and actually it was a bit unfair to the daughter. Caring for an adult with dementia is hard and yes she shouldn't be shouting at him but it is such a frustrating situation. Carers have it so tough, I'd rather a bit more focus on that if they want to do serious issues. I had a quick look at Digital Spy earlier, they had the same views as us about yesterday's storyline (and the rainbow one too)! The Twitter comments were similar as well

Willowkins · 05/10/2021 18:16

Thanks small - Amdram is one of those things I've wanted to give a try since I was a teenager (finally got round to it 45 years later Confused ).
