Ob. Sessed.

I so badly want Tom to walk away from the whole fiasco.

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 30/10/2021 08:59

But, he’s ghastly. Shock

IWishToAnswerInTheAffirmative · 30/10/2021 09:09

Tom? I know. But so is she. They’re just so fucked up.

blink1eight2 · 30/10/2021 09:28

Tom needs to stay!

blink1eight2 · 31/10/2021 08:05

When are the episodes out in the UK? Sundays or Mondays?

I don't want to get too excited for this evening!

Ulysses · 31/10/2021 08:15

It's shown live in the UK at 9pm on Mondays but I think you can stream earlier in the day.

It must go out in the US on their Sunday evening.

hopeishere · 31/10/2021 08:16

We've just binged tbsp so are completely caught up.

I love Kendall. He's so broken.

Some amazing one liners "What's he going to do next? Stick his cock in my potato salad?"

Logan is such a manipulator.

EdmontinaTiresofNameFlipping · 31/10/2021 08:50

On the subject of Greg’s prospects - if I remember rightly the very first episode of S1 began with him, didn’t it?

Clearly indicating that in the end he will inherit the earth … (Or, at least, all the profitable and non-tainted bits under Roy dominion.)

blink1eight2 · 31/10/2021 08:51

I'm on the fence about Greg. On one hand that would be hilarious, on the other, it's too obvious now

Tightwad2020 · 31/10/2021 09:58

OK, Greg-heads, here's a profile of Nicolas Braun in today's Guardian/Observer

blink1eight2 · 31/10/2021 10:51

He's so handsome

BigHeartyTruffle · 31/10/2021 10:53

PP mentioned Jesse Armstrong was a writer on the thick of it, I feel that coming through really strongly this season. Some of the one liners could be straight out of Malcolm Tucker’s mouth. Episode 2 reminded me a lot of the thick of it special where the PM resigns and everyone spends 12 hours caught up in a whirlwind of spin and shifting allegiances - where their top priority is to make sure they’re aligned with the “winner”, principles be damned.

Greg reminds me of Ollie Reader - young, naive, frequently underestimated, but just as amoral and self serving as the rest of them, and ultimately rises to the top because of it.

MargotMoon · 31/10/2021 20:37

@MarshaBradyo

Oh yes he’s nuts. But I felt for him on the irrelevant line. He’s been a bit out of the four of them. I like him as an actor too

[withdrawn post quoted - removed by MNHQ]

Is this a spoiler? Episode 3 isn't out yet

EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia · 01/11/2021 07:39

Oh no! Surely not? It’s a streamed show and I watched it this morning. Assumed everyone else would either have done the same or would avoid the thread until they’d seen it.

There’s a review in The Telegraph, a preview in The Times that gives away as much as I’ve mentioned here - and countless other online reviews …

Actually, even though it’s viewable I tried not to say anything that gives away the specific plot of this episode …

So I’m not sure whether I need to offer up sincere apologies, or not?

hopeishere · 01/11/2021 08:44

What time does it drop in the UK on a Sunday? Most people don't have time to watch first thing in the morning!!

I've skimmed your post and it looks spolierish!

We could maybe get the title changed to no spoilers - Monday night viewing or something?

EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia · 01/11/2021 08:52

Okay - have reported my post and asked MNHQ to delete.

Apologies!

9pm on Mondays.

I've just watched ep2 this is giving me everything I need from a good TV show! My stray thoughts & observations:

I'm loving the dialogue. Brilliant brilliant writing. I love how Kendal compartmentalised his love & hatred of Logan and decided to " outsource to therapy".
Marcia is the new gold standard for how to deal with cheating husband's.

Greg made an interesting move by approaching his grandfather for help. I suspect the old heads are going to teach Greg how to play the long game & not to lose his nerve.

I'm not understanding why Roman is being ignored by Logan & not being rewarded for his loyalty (aka job title)... I think he'll jump ship eventually.

Anyway I'm going to try and find episode 3 and I'll be back to discuss when everyone else has caught up.

EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia · 01/11/2021 12:56

I watched Ep3 on Now TV early this morning.

MargotMoon · 01/11/2021 15:07

I don't think it's spoiler-ish to post the day the new episode is released! It's available to stream from 2am on Monday so anyone with Sky or Now can watch it.

I saw that the post was about Ep3 so came out of the thread until I'd watched it. Quite tempted to immediately watch it again! There was so much going on...

EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia · 01/11/2021 15:27

I’m also thinking I need to watch again!

Claudethecat · 01/11/2021 18:15

Just watched ep 3. It is a corker.

I think it's considerate to not to post anything spoilerish until after the UK TV airing at 9pm.

blink1eight2 · 01/11/2021 18:17

Can't wait to watch tonight!
