Who is your favourite characters in Succession. I thought this was one of the best shows I have seen in ages, can't wait for new season which will be out soon. Lots of great characters in it. Greg, Tom, Roman. Love to hear your take on it..

A fifteen year age gap seems unlikely - where are you getting that from?

Let’s not forget Logan is The Man. He would have moved swiftly and smoothly (if expensively) from one woman to the next.

I assumed Kendall was in his forties; Connor late forties, early fifties? I really should have looked it up.

LiterallyKnowsBest · 19/11/2021 13:26

(Though your point still stands!)

MintyCedric · 19/11/2021 14:36

The actors that play Kendall, Roman and Shiv are respectively 42, 39 and 33 which probably is about the same as their characters.

For some reason I always thought Shiv was older than Roman but I guess that's just a maturity thing Grin.

Alan Ruck who plays Connor is 65 in real life Shock! God knows how old he's supposed to be in the show.

I always assumed he was a fair bit older and possibly the result of a teenage/early twenties fling prior to Logan becoming obscenely rich and successful but Wiki does refer to him as being from a first marriage.

Are those their characters' ages, though, I wonder? I have always thought Roman was the quintessential 'little brother' and assumed he was the youngest.

Can't believe Alan Ruck is 65 – he looks older than the others, but not that much, I don't think.
I wonder if he has anything to do with Logan's relationship/falling-out with his sister Rose – did Logan take up with a friend of hers or something, and it caused a rift?

BoJoSecretGF · 19/11/2021 14:46

Brian Cox is 75 so I think Alan Ruck is definitely playing below his true age.

WilliamofBaskerville · 19/11/2021 15:36

Alan Ruck always plays younger! Maybe the character is not 15 years older, but he's at least 10. An episode or two ago Kendall mentioned planning his 40th and he's the oldest of the younger ones. No way Connor is late 40s 😁.

WilliamofBaskerville · 19/11/2021 15:39

And point still stands, why are they all much the same age in the credits?!

ihatethecold · 19/11/2021 20:01

Jesus, how old was Alun Ruck in ferris Beulers days off then ??

JustJustWhy · 19/11/2021 20:06

29!

LiterallyKnowsBest · 19/11/2021 20:43

Oh, gosh - had I really forgotten the thing of inviting Josh (😍) to his 40th birthday celebrations?

Is there some sort of secret only revealed in the childhood videos???

idiotfacelicker · 20/11/2021 10:21

@JustJustWhy

29!

😮😮😮

BoJoSecretGF · 20/11/2021 19:58

I can never get the hang of Reddit.

LiterallyKnowsBest · 20/11/2021 21:14

Nah. You’re alright, thanks, yer Lordship.

Journeyofthedragons · 21/11/2021 00:35

@JustJustWhy

29!
Matthew Broderick was 24, they were playing 17/18 year olds.
LiterallyKnowsBest · 21/11/2021 22:35

If I go to bed now-ish - I can set an alarm for 2am. Who cares if I’m useless tomorrow, it’ll be worth it.

LiterallyKnowsBest · 22/11/2021 10:53

Fucking hell!

Can’t say. Was shouting at the screen. Blood pressure rising rapidly. Angry

These actors are so good. Impossible to separate them from their characters. And it’s all just, so … Oh. My.

Claudethecat · 22/11/2021 18:53

I am just preparing to watch it!

idiotfacelicker · 22/11/2021 19:41

Just watched it so ready to discuss when given the go ahead!

MrsCremuel · 22/11/2021 21:48

Greg ‘my physical length’, today’s highlight.

Is this going to push Shiv over the edge?!

idiotfacelicker · 22/11/2021 22:01

Greg ‘my physical length’, today’s highlight.

Is this going to push Shiv over the edge?!

I've been waiting for her to go over the edge for several episodes. She's just as addicted the the toxic family as the rest of them.

Will Tom flip? That's the real question. Although his point about Ken always being fucked and Logan never being fucked was utterly valid.

MrsCremuel · 22/11/2021 22:06

@idiotfacelicker yes Tom is pretty shrewd behind the ‘tall and jolly’ facade.

I really liked this episode. Loved seeing behind the scenes of political power. It is so painful to watch Logan torture his children. Shiv is the new Kendall and he just plays them all so effortlessly.

The PA is suddenly being given the spotlight?

bakingdemon · 22/11/2021 22:12

Loved loved the final scene where Shiv gives in.

They filmed in Tuscany so I have high hopes of seeing Harriet Walter again.

hopeishere · 22/11/2021 22:13

Loved it tonight!

Admiral Grope Boat was a great line.

Homoerotic vibes in the bathrooms scene.

Loved Greg speaking the truth about Con.

Shiv is just awful but so pitiful at the same time. Kendall looks rougher and rougher in each episode.

CherryBlossomAutumn · 22/11/2021 22:37

I think Tom is going to do something shocking. I hope he isn’t going to ‘be for the off’…

Kendall is spiralling…

It just all points to something dark I think! Yikes.

Acting is so good. Perhaps there will be a ‘lift’ with the Italy wedding, and madness.

And then something very dark…
