Anyone watch Succession

Who is your favourite characters in Succession. I thought this was one of the best shows I have seen in ages, can't wait for new season which will be out soon. Lots of great characters in it. Greg, Tom, Roman. Love to hear your take on it..

Okay...Shiv walks in on Tom and Greg having an encounter. Huge row ensues, Tom accidentally kills Shiv, tops himself...circumstances very shady and Greg is the only one who knows what really happened...
LIKE IT! it fits with Greg seeming hapless but actually always being in deeper than people seem to realise.

I hope Gerri and Roman don’t get together - anyone remember Moonlighting with the Bruce Willis/Cybill Shepherd will-they-won’t-they? The programme lost its edge completely when they did.

I agree, Gerry and Roman can never happen. His reaction when she publicly called him "visionary" was adorable though

Yes, I’m not into it either. Roman’s in his family known for his sexual deviancy so don’t think it would play like a fairytale romance if Gerri got together with him.

I mean it wouldn’t look great for Gerri getting involved with Roman. I like how the May to December romance subverts the norm, but Roman’s well documented hangups make him a fairly unattractive choice for anyone sensible, never mind Gerri’s CEO stature.

Enjoyed E5 as always. Love how every time you think Greg might have worked out what they're all like he falls for their crap again. He's just not up to the manoeuvring.

Talking about why Geri and Frank stay. Frank is a punch bag no doubt but Gerri never seems to be on the end of Logan's humiliation (unless someone has an example I've forgotten). There does seem to be some genuine respect there for Gerri!

Gerri and Roman aren't actually romantic are they? He has a crush on her of which is partly due to him being aroused by the taboo of it. And she is clearly fond of him and respects him but I don't think she fancies him.

It would be awful if they got together!

Logan has been pretty dismissive and rude to Gerri many times, especially when he was forced to name her as acting CEO and he felt she was getting too big for her boots.

True a bit rude and dismissive, but he's like that with absolutely everyone. He doesn't seem to set out to publicly humiliate her in the same way he does, say, Frank. Perhaps I am seeing through rose coloured glasses because I live Gerri 😁

Recent convert to this and absolutely love it. But somewhere in the middle of binging it whilst tired, I have lost sight of who that Sandy guy is (I know Stewy) and why a deal with him stops the vote?

I agree that Gerri and Roman getting together properly would be a bridge too far but I'd like to see more of their current relationship and them working together to take over the company.

I hazily recalling that Sandy helped finance some bailout for Waystar in S1. Then later on Kendall and him were joining up to do a hostile takeover of Waystar before Ken killed the waiter at Shivs wedding. All seeing eye Logan knew about this and takeover was dropped.

That doesn’t really answer the question but I imagine between the Roys and Sandy they hold the majority of shares so as long as they are in agreement it doesn’t matter about the rest of the shareholders.

Stewie invested money into Waystar in the first or second episode to pay off a loan but it didn’t say what he got in return (probably equity as he got a board seat out of it). It was only in the nightclub scene (Tom’s stag do) that Kendall discovered who the real financier was. We had already met Sandy as Greg saw Stewie and Sandy together. We don’t know the history between Sandy and Logan but Sandy hates him and wants to destroy him.

In truth I don’t remember much about how Sandy came to wield so much power - possibly because I’m always distracted by the sheer lushness of Stewie. That man is a joy to gaze upon - the drawl, the foxy eyes and, oh, such clothes.

Second only in beauty to ice-cold Granper Ewan, of course!

Was this the first episode where we find out Sandy is ill? It took us a bit to realise it was him in the wheelchair!

I think the syphillis story was mentioned last season. I don’t think he has syphillis per se, possibly something instigated by Roman.

Also here for Stewie. Although hate his name! Not very powerful and just doesn't suit him.

Oh, I think Stewie looks like a weasel. Or that sort of unhelpful and slightly lazy and rude colleague, you know the type
