My friend’s mum used to do similar - used to work with families for the first weeks to get the baby settled into a routine and sleeping through the night. She had a very impressive client list!

Lol. I work nights. I’m a maternity nurse usually do 9-7

Chat to parents briefly Then they go to bed usually few mins after 9 to get almost 9/10hrs undisturbed sleep

Baby usually asleep till 10/11 so watch tv /read etx then I feed wind change settle etx

I didn't even know this was a thing! I could've used your help about 7 years ago!!

@Ekofisk I did nearly put Vigilantes but decided against it as I thought it made us sound a bit thuggish like we were going to beat up the bad guys.
Though I suppose we are looking out for the baddies!

@Blondeshavemorefun that's a great job you do! I wish it could be available on the NHS even if only for the first few nights after birth.
2 of my DSis are Midwives.

And did think about as a possible career path but having my own DC & also the messy bits put me off.

also did a freebie for a lady with twins , plus a 4yr with severe sn plus 6yr

I was working 3 nights elsewhere so offered my services for free for 2 nights for a month to help her out /get twins into a routine and give her respite

I’ve done nights now 11yrs. Many say to me wish I had known about you 5/8/10yrs ago
