Bore, it's all relative.
It sticks in my craw to say so, but Kem's cooking had improved a lot since his first efforts, so either his earlier incompetence was feigned (and probably a set up with the production team, hmm) or his family put him through an intensive course to make sure he could cook those two dishes to a good standard. How many times have we seen people serve up lamb with the fat not rendered? He managed that, at least. Here's hoping when he has to do something he's not had a chance to practise it all goes to pot again.
