Is anyone up to date on RHOBH? I can't believe these women (except Sutton and Garcelle) are so scared of Erica that they seem to be giving her a pass on this?

I’m not up to date - only about half way through the season and so far Erica has opened up about Tom’s emotional abuse and the affairs and everything. Oh and the house she thought she had in Palm Springs. What happens? They keep hinting at Erica being involved in the previews.

I've been watching it. It is fascinating as it's almost happening in real time. Erika really isn't the quite the actress she thinks she is, and nor is she able to control the narrative in the way she wants.

I think the emotional abuse and affairs are all red herrings to distract from what was really happening which is the missing money. That's not to say I don't believe Tom didn't cheat or was emotionally abusive, but they're not the main story here, he siphoned vast sums of money from his firm, money that was supposed to be paid as compensation. I am certain Erika probably knew but didn't know the to what degree he was fiddling the books. If £20 million was paid into her company account, she must have had an inkling it wasn't 100% kosher. If she didn't, then she's incredibly stupid.

I believe the divorce was initially a ploy to move assets but that's all backfired now, possibly due to Tom's mental decline and probably the enormity of what has actually been going on.

I'm curious to see which was it goes.

Ah I have found my people! I have so many thoughts on this. I would like to believe that she is simply guilty of not looking to hard at where the money was coming from, but the more that comes out, the less likely that seems. And she just seems too smart to be that stupid .

I do think he’s been a difficult husband but she’s tolerated that as part of the deal/tradeoff for doing/getting what she wants. I think she’s now absolutely shitting herself in the latest episode as the scale of it dawns, and the legal implications for her sink in.

There’s a great podcast called ‘reality life with Kate Casey’ that has been covering it in some detail - this week they had the journalists who wrote the LA Times article they were referencing on this week’s RHOBH episode and it’s fascinating to hear their thoughts on it all.

Wow definitely going to check out the podcast. I agree that the cheating may have happened but is definitely being used as a distraction.

If anyone follows Erica on Instagram as well she seems completely unrepentant, which I feel like even if she didn't know where the money came from you'd just keep quiet with your tail between your legs until its resolved. Instead she's very combative with any negative comments.

I can't lie, after reading about the people the money was stolen from, I am enjoying watching her squirm, she's definitely not as good an actress or as clever as she thinks she is.

She has contradicted herself several times and has forgotten her own lies.
Now she’s dressing like a politicians wife all of a sudden and wearing mascara that runs down her face when she cries…?? Please.

Erika is not sorry and doesn’t give a shit about the victims and is just trying to save her own neck.

I am not to sure about what Erika Jayne knew about her husband. They led a very lavish lifestyle. I know she made a lot of money from performing, but she also spent a shed load too! I wonder how much that glad squad cost.
As someone said in the show, l think it was Lisa Rinnia. That a lot of them have had lawsuits against them.That they she be more understanding with EJ. Maybe she knows more than they/we are privy too? Who knows!
It is fascinating to watch it all unravel. Those poor victims!

I sincerely doubt Erika made a profit on Erika Jayne. Tom was bank rolling that all the way. Erika was spending at least $40,000 a month on clothes. I'm not even sure this figure included her glam squad, music director, PA etc. There is no way Erika Jayne was bringing in this kind of money to support herself independently of Tom.

While it's true many of them have/have had lawsuits against them, it is Erika's husband who is accused of stealing money that was supposed to be paid out in compensation to those who were victims in some way. That's disgusting. While the others (PJ, I'm looking at you) have had dubious financial dealings, they're not stealing from others less fortunate than themselves. Tom's actions have cost those most in need of money.If only be proxy, Erika is tainted. Look at how badly she is over-acting, the sudden use of non-waterproof mascara. She knows plenty more than she's letting on, even if she does not know the full extent of this, after all, it's been going on for years.

If Erika leaves without filming the reunion, she will not be paid. If she really is as strapped for cash financially as she claims to be, she will see this season through to the bitter end.

@sansucre completely agree, he stole from extremely vulnerable people who had looked to him for help and placed their trust in him. It's truly sickening. This is on a completely other level than PK(delboy) or even the Guidices (rhonj). Very unfair that the Guidices will most likely serve far more prison time than either of the Girardis.

Erica must have known she was hemorrhaging money as Erica Jayne, whether she knew where the money was coming from, I don't know, but she certainly knows now and you would think she would be trying to make amends, but she's deny and fight all the way.

I firmly believe that Erica will be on RH as long as they'll have her. She needs the money, not forgetting the money that comes from Instagram etc with that level of exposure.

She loaned Rinna £5mil to set up her cosmetics range, so Rinna has a vested interest. Funny how she came after Denise so hard last season but will blindly believe whatever Erica says.... I like Sutton and Garcelle they've clearly got the measure of EJ. I absolutely believe she's talking to Tom, she's part of the story, I believe this stuff is the only reason they got divorced, they've had an arrangement for years, why else did she have a bedroom at her 'studio' , so the he cheated on me stuff is nonsense. She either knew or didn't about where the money came from, but she definitely doesn't care as long as she was living the highlife that is all that matters. Her faux financial naivete is ridiculous, she was a single working mother before she met Tom.

@Deedoubleyou I read that Erika was winding down Erika Jayne around the time she was approached by RHOBH, and Bravo/Andy Cohen wanted Erika to continue with it, so she did. While RHOBH definitely bought EJ to a wider audience and lead to her playing (or not) Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, I just don't believe she made a vast amount of money from it.

@KingdomScrolls I did not know EJ had invested in Rinna's cosmetics range. No wonder Rinna is being so 'supportive', she's worried she's going to be caught up in all this too, particularly a EJ's money is looking increasingly dirty.
