New thread for us to discuss all things Holby.

@SoupDragon

Do you think Amelia is going to steal baby Juliet?
I wonder if it will be the other way round. Nicky doesn't seem very keen on the baby so perhaps she will try and foist the baby on Amelia.
DontWantTheRivalry · 15/01/2022 07:05

I’m definitely sending a lack of interest from Nikki towards her baby.

SleepingStandingUp · 15/01/2022 10:43

I'm assuming we're going to actually deal with her PND at some point soon?

Jacketpotato84 · 17/01/2022 21:18

So not long until holby ends and I’m losing interest. Was thinking that it’s ok as we still have casualty but it’s so unbelievable just lately don’t think I’ll bother with that either that new doctor who fell unscathed and then went on to do her shift, then next episode the pregnant lady fell from great height as I was watching it I said if she falls from that bloody thing I’m not watching it again,,
Naaahhhh
The writing was not bad it was abysmal

SleepingStandingUp · 18/01/2022 12:35

She didn't do her shift the same day, it was a few days later. But yes agree re that kind of fall and she was perfectly fine 🙄

SleepingStandingUp · 18/01/2022 23:19

I am seeing Nikki leaving Juliet with Amelia and just walking away. How gorgeous is that baby girl tho 😍😍😍. Must be weird for the actress to act so disconnected when she's got a baby girl the same age at home

spiderlight · 18/01/2022 23:40

I wonder whether it's her actual baby in the programme. She's absolutely gorgeous.

FrenchyQ · 19/01/2022 08:58

It was nice to see Michael Greco on tv again, doesn't seem to have aged at all since EastEnders.

DontWantTheRivalry · 19/01/2022 21:40

My heart is breaking for poor Nikki Sad

unvillage · 22/01/2022 22:59

We are in the end times now, friends

JeremiahObadiahJackanoryJonez · 24/01/2022 20:05

I thought he looked familiar - Beppe? That’s a blast from the past

JeremiahObadiahJackanoryJonez · 24/01/2022 20:07

I’m quite sad about it. I wasn’t but last weeks was definitely starting to tie up all the loose ends. Sad

I’d like them to bring back all my old faves over the next few weeks. And dh d a miracle cure for Jac!

HalleLouja · 25/01/2022 20:54

Poor poor Nicky. She’s really not in a great place.

Loved the Jac and Fletch moment on the stairs. Maybe they will get married before the series is finished.

spiderlight · 25/01/2022 21:36

How can nobody see that poor Nicky has raging PND?? :(

TrashyPanda · 25/01/2022 22:47

I’m finding Amelia more than a bit creepy

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 26/01/2022 07:47

Loved the Jac and Fletch moment on the stairs. Maybe they will get married before the series is finished. Yes, I'm hoping that they'll finally get together with the end of the series now well within sight.

DontWantTheRivalry · 26/01/2022 08:41

I loved the shouting match in Jac’s office where Fletch slammed his fist down really hard on the desk in anger.

When they were sitting on the stairs I really thought Jac was going to tell him about his terminal diagnosis.

I don’t think they’ll get married….it will just be like re-hashing the Sacha/Essie scene. I don’t think Jac would go there with Fletch knowing she was dying….she wouldn’t want to put him through it. She will be sensible to the very end.

Also agree about Amelia being creepy…it’s the voice. I can’t put my finger on it but just something about her soft spoken tone makes me feel like there’s something evil lurking below….. Grin

spiderlight · 26/01/2022 14:16

Amelia is definitely going to make a play for the baby, or run away with her.

It was obvious from a mile off that that kid was going to die in the ambulance!

spiderlight · 26/01/2022 14:16

I did have a random thought last night - imagine if the BBC replaced Holby with a new medical drama called 'St James' Grin

burblish · 28/01/2022 23:31

Amelia irritates the ever loving shit out of me. And yes, as others have pointed out, how is nobody clocking that poor Nicky has PND?

With Eli refusing to do Jac’s op, I’ve realised what my dream end to Holby has to include: the return of Elliot Hope to do it instead (having persuaded Max to do the neuro bit), with him and Max saving Jac’s life, and Joseph then arriving to announce he and Fay are over for good and he can whisk Jac off into the sunset. (I would also accept Mo Effanga or Anton Meyer in place of Elliot, but Anton ain’t gonna happen, sadly.) Surelu it must be so - it’s what the fans deserve!

SleepingStandingUp · 29/01/2022 00:14

I'll take Eliot and Mo.
I'm not sure Joseph deserves her but if he makes her happy....

DontWantTheRivalry · 29/01/2022 07:22

I don’t think Jac will survive.

Nothing will demonstrate the finality of the show more than the finality of its most iconic character.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/01/2022 10:52

@DontWantTheRivalry I think you could be right. It will be too much to have Jac walking off into the sunset 'happy ever after'. I kind of get the feeling that's being reserved for HH instead.

What are we forecasting to happen otherwise? There must only be eight or nine episodes left at the most, now?

DontWantTheRivalry · 29/01/2022 11:09

I think Nikki will flee and leave Juliet with Amelia and Eli who will take her on as their own.

I want to see HH, Donna and Dom walk off into the sunset with the loves of their lives - whoever they may be.

Jac will die in Fletch’s arms in the Memorial Garden as she tells him that she loves him and that she thinks he has the power to change the world and he just has to believe in himself…..and then her eyelids will fall.

As for the rest of the characters I don’t think anything major will happen. The show will close with them all looking heartbroken as word spreads that Jac has died.

I do wonder if there is a lurking storyline behind Josh and his stalker from the Eating Disorder Support group though. Maybe the storyline will evolve into that of the film where the pet rabbit’s head is found boiling in the saucepan (I can never remember the name of the film) and Josh will end up shooting his stalker and then drowning her in the bath?
