The thing about James and the whole family is the writing and story for them has been been so rubbish I really don’t care about them. The staircase has been the most interesting thing

I am both laughing at and kind of touched by the idea that, in Corrie Land, not only is the local paper published daily, but everyone still pays to get it delivered… whereas in real life no one has actually paid for a local paper in about 15 years They must be hard up for stories if ‘OMG, MLM is a scam!!’ makes the front page!

Evelyn has become such a great character. Maureen Lipman is of course streets ahead of many of the other actors, but the writers didn’t know how to position Evelyn at first. She works brilliantly now. (Unlike Alina, who I want to slap with a haddock.)

I love her !!! She says what everyone else is thinking. Very supportive of Fizz and Tyrone totally deserves it . Ugh Alina being pregnant -a 39 year old has got a 22 year old pregnant after 5 minutes. How responsible Grim

Ty is pathetic. He's obviously poleaxed by the pregnancy news but flipped his view as soon as Alina batted the tearful eyelashes at him.

Why are pregnancies always a surprise in Coronation Street? Weatherfield Comprehensive (shouldn't it be an Academy by now?} needs to vamp up its Sex Education curriculum.

I can’t COPE with how bad an actor James is, sorry but for me, he is A LOT worse than Gemma. He’s so wooden the bloke he was acting opposite was 10x better than him, can they trade places? doubt the family would notice.

I thought James was already on team anyway? So he’s what just been on training squad? I guess going more for racism in football side than gay story. Gay issues been done so much and then represented as totally bog standard normal most of the time can’t then make them but look he’s gay story. They did touch on it when what’s her face was having the baby and security guard.

Poor Helen Worth. How can she bear to perform this absolute rot? Why have they made her a doddery old woman?

What was going on with Gayle and the singing?! Bloody annoying and seemed to be a pointless scene as well. Was it an attempt at humour?

I thought maybe dementia but isn't Audrey showing signs of it, surely they wouldn't do two dementia storylines? That's not a spoiler by the way

They’ve been playing Gail as stupid for a while now. They do it with Sally too.

I agree! In old Corrie her and Sally are friends and seem similar age and with kids. Google says Gail born 1958 and Sally 1963 so only 5 years difference. But on screen Sally is still having regular dress up nooky with Tim. Enjoying life to the full and working. Gail feels like 20y older does nothing but babysit grandkids and make Cups of tea.

I looked her up and when she first appeared in 1974 she was 23 but portraying a 16 year old - so she is supposed to be 63 now - I am 11 years older than that and I don't go around singing stupid songs and simpering (maybe I do but no-one has told me to my face )
I feel sorry for the actress - she has never done any other TV work and her scripts are degrading.

In classic Corrie she still has exactly the same hair the “I grabbed my wig on the dark but it’s not mine” look. How can your hair look like it’s not yours for 30y!!
