That actor who played the beardy chap looked familiar.

I'm surprised Toady wants duplicitous Amy around with his children there

Clawdy · 24/09/2021 22:36

I'm a bit confused, who was the beardy guy?

EBearhug · 25/09/2021 01:04

The beard guy was the lawyer that Melanie used to work for, that took out a restraining order against her. His wife, Ann, told Susan she shouldn't have anything to do with Melanie, because Melanie and the lawyer had an affair. Julian? Justin? James? Probably something totally different. It wasn't clear why he was meeting Melanie, but it looked like Rose was setting it up somehow.

Rummikub · 25/09/2021 01:53

Rose got. Justin to meet Mel and he agreed so that she’d drop the police case against his wife who damaged her car.

I’m assuming that rose took toadie that route so he would see them.

Clawdy · 25/09/2021 08:47

Ah, right, thanks, that makes sense now.

What's wrong with Amy being around the kids? What have I missed and why is she duplicitous?

Is it cos he noticed Nell curiously observing Amy with Levi and Ned? And didn’t want her exposed to throuplism.

woodhill · 25/09/2021 14:06

I don't think having a polyamorous relationship with Levi and Ned at the same time is a great example to set but maybe I'm old fashioned

Rummikub · 25/09/2021 14:11

Me too. One of them will get hurt.

EBearhug · 25/09/2021 14:38

If it weren't at the same time, it wouldn't be a polyamorous relationship.

woodhill · 25/09/2021 14:52

You know what I mean, it was described as that on the FB neighbours page. She's annoying.

woodhill · 25/09/2021 14:53

I'm sure they don't have a three some😄

MiddleClassProblem · 25/09/2021 15:03

But equally, he was raising eyebrows when Nell was around and she talk to both of them alternately when they were setting up for the festival. No thing she said was anything that sounded romantic. She called one of them sweetheart or something but she seems like someone who would say that to anyone.

She’s not snogging them in front of the kids etc. I can understand him not wanting her having them sleepover but should be the same with any new relationship. Unfortunately, Toadie himself crosses that line all the time. He doesn’t seem to have an issue with introducing everyone of his girlfriends to his kids.

Rummikub · 25/09/2021 15:11

Very good point
Maybe it was him transferring his feelings to Nell.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2021 17:35

Exactly Middle. Nell isn't seeing Amy snogging on the sofa etc she's seeing her talk to two men at work.

And she isn't duplicitous. I don't understand who you think she's deceiving or being dishonest to?

This Toadie-Melanie off and on relationship is getting so boring! Every episode they have a row or get together, then it's repeated. Just split up, and give us a break!

MiddleClassProblem · 30/09/2021 17:54

I can’t believe Amy hugged both of them in front on Nell… shocking…

If they had a party and they greeted/said good bye to multiple people of the opposite sex would it really mess up Nell? Because my DD must be fucked up…

woodhill · 30/09/2021 18:15

No I think the whole thing with Amy is really tacky.

Rummikub · 30/09/2021 18:59

But i do like the testi tent
Should be rolled out by the nhs.

MiddleClassProblem · 30/09/2021 19:18

I think it’s a lot more tacky that Toadie rolls in all his girlfriends. He said he never introduced them to anyone he wasn’t serious about but he is “serious” about all of them. It’s much more damaging for them yo see Daddy in love with a series of women and continually arguing with Melanie who now they don’t see but Rose is with them every 5 minutes instead.

Nell’s mum died two years ago! And she was meant to be his big love apart from Dee!

woodhill · 30/09/2021 19:30

I think it's all very tacky😄 and yes Toadie isn't much better

Rummikub · 30/09/2021 19:59

K agreed with what any said. Has it only been 2 years since sonya?

Rummikub · 30/09/2021 20:00

^^ I agree with what Amy said

SleepingStandingUp · 30/09/2021 20:02

Totally agree about Toadie.

Would have been a great opportunity to show how a single Dad can manage but instead every woman seems to want to hop on and the kids get dumped with the neighbours or the live in Nannny

OP posts:
MiddleClassProblem · 30/09/2021 20:14

And they are all so involved with the kids. Most of them end up looking after them on their own at some point. You’re meant to think it’s so wholesome but they’ve only just met. You’d think he’d be more protective after nanny Alice.
