That was amazing! But yes I struggled with the sound and/or the accents. Stephen Graham said something at one point, that, despite rewinding 3 times, I still didn’t catch.

Just put the subtitles on?

I've just watched this and it's confirmed in my mind that I could never ever ever go to prison.

Does anyone know what would've happened if he'd said he felt suicidal when he was going in?

Watched and really enjoyed it - although not quite the word. The prison officer son is going end up beaten to a pulp isn't he?? And Sean Bean is definitely going to flip and end up pummeling that lad! Tense but believable stuff.

My Dad had trouble with the sound and couldn't hear some of it. I thought it was fine though. Really hard watch but I love the actors and will brace myself for next week. Probably with a pint of wine. Watching Live at the Apollo for some relief now 😊

I know nothing about prisons in real life, being a good egg as I am, but that did fit with what I imagine it must be like.
The tension was very well done - great acting all round.
I "enjoyed" it, as in I found it entertaining, but it is fairly brutal.

He might have been in Little Boy Blue but it's not the guy you are looking at there (that's the nasty piece of work). This is a scouse lad with lovely puppy dog eyes . Was a bit part in something some years back.

Didn't realise they were married in real-life! Great casting. I knew she looked slightly familiar and apparently she was in an episode of No Offence so wonder if that's where I recognise her from.

I couldn't cope with the levels of violence - honestly I think I'd go insane. Hopefully women's prisons are a bit better in case I'm ever banged up.

Apart from Sean Bean the whole cast and crew were from Liverpool. Someone on YouTube who was a bit player said it was filmed in Shrewsbury prison.

Tom Clarkson from Waterloo road also made an appearance. Very good cast. Really enjoyed

I'm 40 minutes into it. I love Sue Johnstone in things. Such a good actor. What did it mean by "You're in here as punishment, not for it?"
I didn't know male prisoners call guards "Boss" Enjoying it so far. Will watch the rest now

Oh I get it now. Being inside is the punishment itself not to get (extra) punishment inside

The side kick of the young bully guy was that nice lad in Corrie who ended up getting killed by Phelan. He was someone's boyfriend and went missing just before they were about to move away together.....

Thought this was really good, but not exactly cosy Sunday night viewing! Felt tense the whole way through for Sean Bean.
