Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

Just thought I'd share this, good to know the teams are doing deaf awareness training and learning some BSL.

Saturday is pairings and group dance first look. Kicks off proper 25th. I have now seen one viable list of pairings, think that paper ignored press embargo.

That's really good news @covetingthepreciousthings. BSL should be a language option in school, I think.

So a pro is covid positive and out, at least for the first live show. The sleb is negative.
So one of those benched will step in I guess.
Ridiculous that they have not announced who. They announced Nadiya August. I can only think they are waiting till Sunday so they can keep up the pretence that the launch show is live. Or that should they announce it now and the hard of understanding watch Saturday, they want to avoid stupid number of phone calls expressing disbelief that the sick pro is live on telly infecting everybody.

Looking forward to Saturday. Launch show is nearly three hours, I think! DH will have to go out.

Will get the wine and crisps stocked up!
Husband will watch with me(think he enjoys more than me)

Hopefully there'll be a natural loo break at some point!

One of the papers reporting that 2 dance pros are vax refusers and some slebs don't want to be paired with them. A bit weird as the launch show was filmed a week (?) ago.

I listened to the Fortunately podcast with Fi and Jane last night, in it they interviewed Ugo. He very clearly said he had been rehearsing with his professional for a couple of weeks now but couldn’t reveal who it was. I always believed the first show was a surprise for the dancers as well as the viewers. I wonder if it’s always been this way or it’s a new Covid arrangement

Tonight's is just the launch, they drag out the pairing-ups for ever, then all do a group dance. No individual dancing/judging.

I think we'll just catch up on t'internet tomorrow about the pairings. We don't need nearly two hours dragging out who's who, John's inside leg measurement, Nina's favourite butty & seven billion 'family / gran / what I did on my holidays' VTs.

I've just watched Anton on AQoS while doing my ironing.

I still preferred it with Sue/Matt/Phil, but Anton was very good. Not sure Ugo looks the most natural mover from this!
