Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

The podcasts contain no gossip or revelations about Strictly, just Karen and Johannes talking about their childhoods and how they came to be dancers. It Takes Two is so brief and silly and glitzy (no bad thing), it's just interesting listening to the dancers talk in a more serious and in-depth way.

Just seen the news that apparently Luba won't get a partner this year but Neil will. I don't mind this tbh, but I'm a big fan of Neil and I'd really love to see him with a ringer.

Neil isn’t one of my favourites - he took over the daft grinning when Karen and Janette stripped gurning to the camera.

But I would like to see him shine with someone smashing.

Just not the shine from his teeth.

Oh no, I find Neil really irritating. Appreciate I'm in the minority but both he and Johannes really bug me. They both fancy themselves far too much and really don't come across as nice people at all.

Does anyone know whether this year they'll be able to do the group dances each week or whether they'll have to film them all in advance in one go after they've all isolated like they did last year? Hoping the show will be a bit more back to normal this year!

I find Neil just too try hard. Luba is a great dancer, I'm just not sure she has the best personality for the interview sections.

I'm looking forward to Kai, although I think he will get paired with Tilly Ramsay as he is the youngest guy.

I would like to see some of the new pros have a partner..

Tbh, I'm probably at a low point in liking the pros at the moment. Years so I liked so many of them (Darren and Lilia, Vincent and Flavia, Erin, Ian etc). Now a lot are just a bit OTT and annoying...

Agree about the pros. Used to like the old ones better at teaching their pros the basics ( not Anton though) . Now with Couples Choice and all that rubbish, the pros can get away with gurning and grinning all day.

I loved Aliona. The perfect balance between eye catching choreography to show off her celebrity and really solid technique. Mind you she did get a good run of celebs and seemed to tune out when she got a duffer.

I agree - I liked Johannes at first, but he just seems to have become increasingly arrogant and smug.

And Neil is just . . . Neil.

I really don’t know what to make of Neil but he has an absolutely uncanny knack for finding a camera to grin into.

I just can’t warm to that kind of stuff. I suppose that is why I take agin the ringers and fellow camera seekers.

The most irritating has to be Janette. So over the top, she really grates on me.

Did anyone see Amy's documentary on her Crohn's disease? I watched it on iPlayer. It's another example of a more serious interview with a Strictly pro making you see them in a whole new light. She must feel such anxiety about getting through the series without a flare-up.

I did!

I have IBS, which I developed as an adult. It's a pain in the rse for a green-up (crppy pun intended), but a condition like this must be horrendous for a child/teen when you are so self-conscious to bef=gin with.

Yes, I find Janette very irritating, too.

Surprised that Luba has been benched, given how tall the male slebs are this year. Twitter following must have more influence than I thought. I didn't think she did amazing work with Jason but even so, wanted her to have one more chance with a ringer this time around.
