Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

Rumour is she is jungle/castle bound but that could be totally speculation.

Maya Jama, Rio Ferdinand, Tina Barrat, Angelica Bell.

Also Line of Duty - Vicky McClure and the lad that played baddie Ryan Pilkington - can definitely see the cast of that being asked to take part with it being such a hit this year, apparently she has a ballet background as a child.

Tom Malone from Gogglebox has been mentioned - he's said he'd like to do it, is a dancer so has an advantage but never done ballroom.

I've got a ballet and tap background from my childhood. It would mean diddly squat for ballroom dancing many, many years later.

Bobby Seagull! He’s really in with the Strictly crowd. Super nice guy!

Bobby Seagull looks pretty dinky so he could be a partner for Janette. I bet their first routine would be a salsa to One, Two, Three, Four by Gloria Estefan (best Blackpool guest act Ever!)

There has to be the token sportsman, so perhaps Frank Lampard if he has not got a new job.

I would love to see Patrick from the Sewing Bee, especially doing Ballroom. Can't really imagine him doing Latin, fake tanned and shirt open to the waist but would like to see him try.

I also think the experts from the BBC daytime antiques shows would a rich seam to mine. Christina Trevannion or Natasha Raskin-Sharp for example. I suppose they all have day jobs so it would be a big commitment but there a lot of characters on those shows and the audiences like them.

Sewing Bee Patrick was in the Blackpool audience a few years ago. I used to fantasise about him being on the show and doing beautiful tall person ballroom with Natalie Lowe, although I can't imagine him actually doing Strictly and, if he did, he'd probably be more on the giraffe-on-an-ice-rink end of things.

I've been enjoying Taskmaster this series and would quite like Jamali Maddix or Mike Wozniak to sign up. Greg Davies too but I think he'd be too tall.

The masked singer got some really good celebs this year so I hope strictly gets some decents.

Strictly couldn't get a decent line-up during a lockdown which meant most celebs were out of work. (I think Bill Bailey was probably the only one who wouldn't ordinarily be available.) I doubt if this year's cast will be stellar. Partly I think it's because the casting people are lacking in ambition but mainly it's because of the money.

I think maybe last year was due to the bubbles. The celebs had to live alone etc. Not always do able
