Couldn't see a thread yet.. maybe it's too early.. but needed to talk to people about Strictly with the news today that Zoe Ball and Ian Waite are leaving ITT!

Will Rylan take over full time? Who will become the resident dance expert?

Also, has anyone else seen the clips of AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks? I do wonder if he regrets quitting Strictly.. I'm
not sure acting is his forte.

I think part of the reason for the difference on money is advertising. Strictly is on the Beeb so gets less revenue.

They're also getting thousands of pounds worth of shoes and ballroom/Latin lessons. Which I would say are higher calibre on Strictly unless you're partnered with Janette.

I think it can really make people's careers though, if they want to get into presenting.

So tonight I'm going to be switching between tennis and the Strictly Spoiler. (I will not post it. I hate people who do that or even drop coy hints about it.) This will be the first Saturday night there's been anything to watch on the telly in ages.

I saw an interview Janette and Gethin did with Nikita and Kai on iPlayer. For all his edgy, androgynous photo shoots, Nikita is like a nice, young accountancy trainee. Kai is strangely attractive in a wholesome, harvest-gathering way. Kind of like one of those relatives of Tom Hanks who play decent, upstanding lawyers/cops/priests in American drama serials. I'm guessing that as they had those two interviewed (it was on that Morning Live programme - don't worry I didn't watch the whole thing) it will be Cameron on the bench this year.

It's the Proms as well. I'll have to watch that on catch-up. There's nothing on for months and then it all comes at once.

Can anyone confirm.. is there show on Saturday the start of the actual dancing or is it just a reveal show then it'll start a week or two later? I think years ago they used to do the reveal show on the Friday and then dancing on the Saturday?

Years and years ago you could sign up for a text with a list of the partners!

I think it's the launch show with the pairings next week, but then they're starting the live show the week after? So they'll have had a fortnight after being matched, but we see the launch show and the first live one in consecutive weeks.
