Very bored with tonight’s offering.

Casualty has just got so boring, monotonous and nothing to grip you or make you laugh anymore.

I know all tv and film had a setback and constraints with covid but plenty of other shows made around same time or later manage ti ve good!

It is just dull, the acting, lighting and storyline.

I've always loved casualty but doesn't seem much point to watch it these days. I'm getting my casualty fix from the old episodes circa 2010(?) Series 25 on Drama channel. So much better in every way

Classic Casualty is so much better.
Had to laugh when Charlie was referred to as “being ready to retire” and “grandad” when watching last week. That was 12 years ago!!!

Yes, when are they going to put all the light bulbs back!!

Why aren't there any build ups any more? I uses to lov that, guessing what was going to happen. Especially the mad ones where ir was something unexpected.

Couple and their dog walking down a lovely country lane, couple looking all happy; cut to "boy racer" speeding through a country lane, music blaring; back to happy couple, dog sees a squirrel and runs off, one of Couple runs after dog telling DOG
to stop (because are big squirrel fans - as we see due to their Save the Squirrel badge); cut back to boy racer he's turned into a tree lined field, under one there - shock horror - the couples dog barking up at Squirrel. Squirrel fan comes hurtling through trees; boys racer does hand brake turn and stops abruptly and gets out of car shouting "stop!!" Suddenly Squirrel Fan disappears from sight. (Fallen in to a disused mine, turns out Boy Racer is a historian from Holby University, who is also a expert caver. He enjoys safely exploring the mines.

@AnImaginaryCat - Yes! Those were always the best bit - 'spot the victim' in the first five minutes or so.

Classic Casualty is great atm - Ruth is an incredible actress. This current series is dire. Does anyone know what has happened to David and Rosa? Did they separate?

They've just fallen by the wayside in storylines

I haven’t watched last night’s yet but I agree that if this is meant to be what they’re keeping while Holby is going, there’s something seriously wrong! With the exception of Dylan, Iain and Rash (if they ever give him something to do), the characters are universally awful and the acting is just being phoned in. The two new paramedics have no chemistry or charisma whatsoever. And the storylines - with the exception of Dylan, Paula and the baby - are just mindnumbingly tedious.

What I dislike most is how little respect they have for their audience’s intelligence. What the receptionist did to Charlie was AWFUL, he’s now selling dodgy homeopathic shite and yet we’re meant to somehow feel - what? That he’s a loveable comic character and root for him and Robin to get together? Why is she even speaking to him? I don’t get it.

I should probably stop watching, shouldn’t I?

I agree - I don’t feel invested in most of the characters either, and positively dislike some of them.
The storylines just don’t engage me

I do like Dylan, Rash, David and Rosa.
I hate the new receptionist too. He’s like a cariacature. The whole Charlie business - yes, it was really nasty, but at the same time i couldn’t believe all these attractive older women “falling” for the totally doddery Charlie. Unless he used a photo from 20 years ago.

The patient stories just seem so unstarted and unfinished.

I mean last nights global alexia (think that was it) was just here's two conditions let's explain what it is.

There's just a lack of drama or suspense too. Even with the Iain and the crime gang story.

Then the staff stories are stop-starty.
