Two episodes this week.
I was bored by both of them.
Except for Dylan, of course.
Wonder if Robyn is going to leave.

Found it highly unrealistic that the Polish lady couldn’t speak English though. Especially as her daughter had the very unPolish name of Kendra. I’ve never met a Pole in the U.K. who didn’t speak excellent English.

WhatICallMyUsername · 26/02/2022 23:32

Yep @TrashyPanda and why was that twat back on reception (Paul?), why is Robyn even speaking to him after what he did to Charlie

And yes sure you can speak fluent Polish cos you've been on a few stag dos like he has 8 friends

And where was the interpreter? Even pre covid emergency cases like this would be done via telephone Confused

Dontlickthetrolley · 26/02/2022 23:35

Yep, wondering if Robyn is next to leave without giving any notice to live by the coast where the air is clean?!

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 01:19

I've just watched 19th Feb
So uncomfortable watching the man with Luka
I got a bit teary at the end of the episode 😢

I still don't understand why Sah hid the fact that she's a carer though?

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 01:19

And yes I also think Sah is a bit bland so far

TrashyPanda · 27/02/2022 09:41

Because Sah wants to be mysterious and therefore interesting.

Or

Because Sah is a prat

TrashyPanda · 27/02/2022 09:42

Would a nurse with an asthmatic child really not know that pollution can worsen things?

SleepingStandingUp · 27/02/2022 11:02

The Sah carer thing, it was like it was meant to build up to something but it was just that they were a teen carer and now their dad is in a home? It's not like they're some hard character who doesn't want their rep ruining. It's like they're trying to make them interesting, but failing.

purpleme12 · 27/02/2022 11:31

I thought it meant they were still a carer

SleepingStandingUp · 27/02/2022 14:07

I thought someone said something about visiting him somewhere. But even so, unless he's neglecting him when he's at work, and that wasn't the vibe, it wasn't really a massive reveal is all. They need to give them some depth but this seemed odd unless something is going to develop over the coming weeks

spiderlight · 27/02/2022 17:54

You'd think, wouldn't you...? And David chipping in with 'Oh yes, I read a report about that' as if it wasn't common blooming knowledge! I suspect this is leading up to Robyn going on some kind of air pollution crusade.
LavenderAskew · 27/02/2022 18:50

Had to laugh.at the first episode. It was like the writers had read the thread about Matthew doing nothing.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 28/02/2022 22:53

I liked the first episode with Michael but thought the second one was crap.

LavenderAskew · 28/02/2022 23:11

What do you think the book of names is?

I figure that he's trying to "compensate" deaths by saving lives, but how did the people in the book die?

Did Matthew go on a killing spree? Was it another wedding he tried to sto? Maybe a family member was careless and people died under their care.

PaddlingLikeADuck · 28/02/2022 23:35

I think it’s a list of people that died who for some reason he feels responsible for their deaths. I’m guessing people’s lives he couldn’t save on the frontline? But that doesn’t make much sense as they wouldn’t have died because of him unless he was the one who actually hurt them in the first place?

Who knows?!

unvillage · 01/03/2022 01:27

It's pretty clearly soldiers who died under his command, he feels responsible for their deaths even if it wasn't directly his fault, they were following his orders. Now he's trying to make amends by saving people. That's going to backfire bigtime. Glad to see he's actually going to be a character at last.

SleepingStandingUp · 01/03/2022 13:29

Agree with unvillage

I assume its the "I told them to go, but it was the wrong call and we should have stayed and now they're all dead"

Agree it's gonna fall apart. And though Stevie was a bitch, the absolute venom in his voice at the hospital was scary.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2022 14:26

First one good with prison van

Second boring

The football coach would not have left if a child isn’t been collected. A nurse would know about air pollution and asthma plus how to give an inhaler (not how it was done!). Bets on Robyn leaving in the next week.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/03/2022 20:36

Yes I did think weird coach left

I agree with that. It just doesn't weigh up that at his age he's been in the army, lead men in to a disaster and trained as a doctor.

So wondered if it was some else's guilt he took on. Which doesn't make much sense either.

Mind you, it's Casualty. Either could work.

Imbored132x · 02/03/2022 00:04

I don’t think Matthew was in the Army, he worked with MSF
(doctors without borders). So I’d imagine the names in his book are people he couldn’t save.

SleepingStandingUp · 02/03/2022 08:04

Oh good memory. So MSF, some kind of catastrophe and he couldn't save them all so he wrote their names in a book to avenge their deaths by saving another.
That doesn't have psychotic back written all over it at all.

purpleme12 · 03/03/2022 00:22

Did David take over Jacob's role or something? It seemed to be alluding to that?
When did that happen and why? I don't remember that

The were supposed to take the polish mum to the relatives room but then she's always in the waiting room....

spiderlight · 03/03/2022 09:38

I think David took over temporarily when Jacob was off after his loony ex-girlfriend stabbed him, but now Jacob wants to hand over the role to him permanently.
