Odd episode. If Jade had been suspended pending an investigation into the pills, surely she would have been escorted off the premises immediately, not left to hang around chatting to patients (and her long-lost mother) and colleagues? And wtf is up with Jacob? (Tina's gone, I assume).

These plots are so strange and odd lately. Not making sense at all. It's like a completely different programme lately. It's always stretched credulity a bit, but the most recent episodes have been completely daft.

At least Dylan's still around , I suppose.

I haven’t seen it yet but across the two shows, I think the ONLY person ever to be required to work their notice was Chloe on Holby City. Notice is just not A Thing there - you can just walk out wherever you choose. Must make drawing up the rotas a real headache.

I remember Ethan giving in is notice, but that was just so that they could build in some "Will he, won't he?" tension before he withdrew it.

Surely they'd have to analyse the tablets first? I know Stevie planted them but before they do anything management need to know what theyre dealing with or she could say they were prescribed meds or even vitamins!

I've been in A&E twice this week. I came off my bike Thursday and broke my arm. I we t back yesterday due to a severe cramping pain and swelling. My mind we t into overdrive and I was convinced it was a blood clot. It wasn't. It was just cramp from being in a sling and the swelling is normal in this injury. I felt a right prick going back with cramp. I was Ted to see if Holby also get overweight middle aged w/o en coming off an ebikes and braking their humerus bone.

Aw - hope you are all right.... I did that a few years ago. I think it was "radial head" - and also a massive bump on my actual head. No sling though, and i healed fine - just clicks when I lift things above my head.

I think falls off bikes and horses inevitably damage arms and shoulders...

I'm really surprised Ethan hasn't remembered Stevie but maybe that's still to come. Hoping she doesn't bring him down too.

Yes, supposedly Jade has now found her ‘calling’ and so Stevie is pissed off cos she thought she shafted her re the pills, but it turned out ‘for the best’ even though Jade has no job now (or will she step into Mrs D’s shoes?).
Let’s hope cctv outs Stevie, she’s an awful character. Jade did her best for her sister in the circumstances so I don’t see why she’s supposedly punishing her.

Its turning into a pile of poo! I'm sure telling a patient to stuff a sandwich up their arse then being found with pills in your locker would have needed a stronger response than just letting you walk off the job. Cant stand Stevie the whole revenge thing is so silly.

I'm watching past episodes of Silent Witness. At one point (Sam Ryan era), the actress who plays Dixie is the pathologists' administrator!

Yes, I'm missing Big Mac and Noel's perspective. Rosa's not quite in the same league.

It's very 'bitty'. I realise with social distancing they probably needed to reduce the number of people (and storylines) but missing not seeing much of Rash, David and Dylan (and even Faith).

He must have seen 100s of people over the years. Why would he remember o ne relative. If you said 'remember so and so from a few years ago ' and gave details of presentation i t might click, but that hasn't happened.

Yes she blames her because it was the car she was in that the lorry was trying to avoid when it crashed into her sisters car. Is her sister supposed to be brain damaged? I thought Jade said she was fine in the end but seems like she wasn't fine when Stebie was talking to her.

@Spidey66 I agree to an extent but I don't think it's uncommon to have a niggle of a memory of someone you've met previously, whatever the circumstances. And particularly given that she's got quite a strong Northern Irish accent. He's not even muttered a 'you seem vaguely familiar' line which you'd kind of expect at the least. And it didn't happen that many years ago either.

But lots of people have Irish accents! It's ha rely unusual!

Stevie is the sister of a patient he treated once several years ago. Why would he remember her? If she said to him "Do you remember treating my sister, you failed to intubate her and she suffered brain damage as a result" yes of course he'd remember her. But she hasn't.

I work as a nurse, There s no way I'd recognise a family member of a patient I saw once 5 years ago, not unless you started filling me in on details. I could walk past a family member of someone I assessed a month ago, and not remember them, though if you approached me an said "hi spidey, remember meeting me when I came in with my sister at easter" I'd be more likely to.

Plus on top of that Ethan us newly widowed and has sent his baby to his in-laws. He's got other things on his mind. It doesnt seem odd to me he hasnt clicked.

I think it was about 5 years ago....remember Jade decided to go into nursing on the strength of that incident. She's been qualified about a year, 3 years training before that and a few months or a year to apply, attend interviews and for the course to start.

Poor Eathan, Stevie is scary.
I know he's responsible for Stevie's sister but he has too many problems.
