Oh Jesus he's actually taking the blame for her 🤦‍♀️

HelloDulling · 04/09/2021 22:07

I am hating this storyline. I’ve watched Casualty for 30 years, but I’m close to packing it in. I only watch it for Dylan.

purpleme12 · 04/09/2021 22:13

Oh bloody hell

NowWeAreSuckingDieselFella · 04/09/2021 23:16

Unless someone is able to point out something I have missed I have massive issues with the Stevie storyline.

There was no mention of her being a junior doctor etc during the original storyline 5 years ago. And yet 5 years later she's a consultant? It takes 5 years in medical school plus a further 5 years as a junior doctor to become a consultant. And yet she apparently decided to become a doctor to get revenge on Ethan and now Jade apparently Confused

SleepingStandingUp · 04/09/2021 23:26

when did Jacob become such a wimp! is that how you think about female victims of DV or just the males ones?

Ethan needs to pull his big girl pants up and take back his child!! Can't believe her parents were just like ok, if you're sure...

purpleme12 · 04/09/2021 23:31

Agree completely about Ethan
It's really annoyed me

SleepingStandingUp · 05/09/2021 00:04

I wasn't a fan of Iain but he's gone up in my estimation tonight

Fluffmonkey82 · 05/09/2021 00:42

Have always loved Iain but just want his hair to grow back! Grin Poor Jacob though..

LavenderAskew · 05/09/2021 08:56

Not liking either ongoing staff storyline.

Though I'm glad, iain quickly copped on to what's going on. Don't think I could have stomached Jacob being accused of domestic violence whilst being the victim.

Stevie needs to feck off. Unless it gets resolved soon after something with Ethan. But if it's going to be an endless amount of her sabotaging Jade and Ethan with no one suspecting despite it being glaringly obvious, it'll drive me nuts.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 05/09/2021 09:48

Stevie just comes across as being unpleasant. Not sure why anyone is putting up with her? And really hoping she unravels herself before she has a chance to really f**k around with Ethan and Jade.

Iain is great.

Poor Jacob.

It's interesting that all these highly trained professionals can't see what's going on under their own noses though, with two very unstable members of staff on the team!

Tomorrowisanewday · 05/09/2021 12:02

I walked away from an abusive relationship 20-odd years ago, yet found myself getting quite upset at the Jacob storyline last night - I'd always taken Casualty as being a bit of mindless fluff that you don't have to think for! Glad Iain realised quickly what was happening.

Strangely enough, I was similarly unsettled. It’s more than 13 years since I ended the abusive relationship but this week’s episode really got to me. I think it was the bewilderment Jacob felt when she started twisting what he had done about the wedding venue and his desperation to put things right… it was all so horribly familiar to me.
JustDanceAddict · 05/09/2021 20:05

Glad that Iain found out Tina was the abuser.
Stevie is so annoying, everything about her is irritating. She was def a doctor when her sister had the accident though, because she knew something had gone wrong with the intubation as people ‘don’t lose oxygen like that’.

Sojo88 · 06/09/2021 22:38

I think Ethan has done the right thing re the baby. He's not in a good state of mind to be looking after a baby, he's going through the worst time of his life. Besides, the fact that he's "given" the baby to the grandparents means if he does decide to look after him again in future it shouldn't be hard to get him back - I'm sure the grandparents have considered the fact he might change his mind at some point in the future.

I think the Tina/Jacob storyline is very well done, it's very interesting to see the roles reversed and important to remember that men experience DV too.

SleepingStandingUp · 07/09/2021 09:42

If he was having contact, I'd agree. But he's completely cut him off. Grandad offered visits etc but he didn't want to know. I know it's the worst time of his life but that's the baby he fathered and bonded with.

purpleme12 · 07/09/2021 15:20

I agree
He's given him up

spiderlight · 12/09/2021 12:57

Was it not on last night?

purpleme12 · 12/09/2021 13:00

No

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/09/2021 13:56

Finally seen last weeks. Glad the truth came out about the dv. But yes can happen to many men

Don’t like STEVIE

OP posts:
NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 16/09/2021 09:12

Stevie is entirely without merit as far as I can see. She's generally abrasive and has no redeeming features.

MyPatronusIsAPenguin · 18/09/2021 22:16

And there goes another with no notice!!

Droite · 18/09/2021 23:01

I take it Stevie put the drugs in there? Let's hope the camera picked her up so that she can be booted before we have to go through several more tedious episodes of her plotting against the rest of the cast.

purpleme12 · 19/09/2021 00:06

Was really surprised at this week's

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 19/09/2021 08:07

I haven’t seen it yet but across the two shows, I think the ONLY person ever to be required to work their notice was Chloe on Holby City. Notice is just not A Thing there - you can just walk out wherever you choose. Must make drawing up the rotas a real headache.

LavenderAskew · 19/09/2021 08:28

I'm just watching now. Already taken a dislike to it with the opening woman who seems to think her name and age are a state secret, shiteing on about "just a scratch" and "nothing to worry about" while on the phone to emergency services because of the coach crash.

I know Jade leaves this episode, so really not happy about that!
