Tina's brother died in Jacob's care, I think he is putting up with a bit more than usually to compensate, besides she is so manipulative how she plays him getting jealous of everyone else he smiles at.

The problem I have with the storyline is they haven't built up Tina's character or the relationship patiently enough before introducing this aspect of it. Thus I find it hard to understand why Jacob is so invested in it that he's willing to put up with this. I haven't seen what it is that he loves about her, iyswim.

Completely agree - he’s gone from dating her to living with her to proposing to her in about 6 months. Without any depth to their relationship it’s impossible to comprehend why a) he’d put up with her treating him so badly, and b) why he wants to marry her.

It’s a weak storyline.

How will it pan out??

The storyline is so unbelievable - there’s no way Jacob would tolerate her shit.

Thus I find it hard to understand why Jacob is so invested in it that he's willing to put up with this. The Jacob who was in a relationship and could fight his own with Connie is nowhere to be seen at the moment. However, I do think Jacob's investment in his relationship with Tina is fuelled by the guilt he feels about her brother dying on his watch (wasn't it the case that he didn't call her down to see him before he died, even though he knew she was working in the hospital at the time)? That guilt plus his mother dying and even residual feelings about the less than satisfactory split-up with Connie has likely put him a more fragile emotional place than he's usually in. So Tina is getting to him and manipulating him.

Matthew redeemed himself in my eyes tonight - I’ve never really taken to him before but I liked him in this episode.

The new consultant is really bloody annoying. Can’t stand her.

Felt very sorry for Jan.

I wish Iain’s hair would grow back quickly.

And as for the gorgeous Ethan…..I just want to take him home and give him a big cuddle.

I've never like Ffion much either, she's always been portrayed as critical of Jan and making her work for her affection.

At the very end the camera panned over the teacup on the bench and the water again. Implying she jumped for a third time and this time wasn't rescued.

Does anyone else have a feeling we are going to see that pregnant woman again?

The way Matthew was trying to intervene when Ethan wanted to put in a chest drain, whilst accusing Ethan of ‘taking it out on her’ (relating to the patient) implied to me that Ethan wasn’t following the right course of action and could potentially cause harm which Matthew was worried about.

And towards the end of the show, the camera momentarily zoomed in on the woman wincing whilst clutching at her bump and it just struck me as a bit odd…..as though it wasn’t the end of the storyline.

I just felt that the way Matthew was really against Ethan’s treatment choice to the point where he stormed out of Resus in anger, and then that scene at the end with the painful bump, it just seemed like it was going to be part of an important storyline…it seemed to be too ‘big’ a part of the storyline unless something was going to develop from it.

Throw in the new Consultant, who hates Ethan and wants to wreak revenge on him and destroy him, who happened to take over his case and do the pregnant woman’s scan…..I don’t know…. it just left me feeling uneasy.

As though something is going to happen to the baby and/or mother and the new Consultant will blame it on Ethan’s choice to use a chest drain.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the new Consultant actually saw something on the scan that wasn’t right…..but kept it to herself as part of a major manipulative plan to take Ethan down.

I love Ethan so much (and really fancy him too) so if that mean and stupid Consultant tries to ruin him them I’m not sure I will be able to contain my anger and hatred!!

I didn't get that feeling about the pregnant woman storyline
But it does seem like they might make a storyline from him doing things wrong in his job or something like that, because of Stevie making it happen and also I think because he threw his medicine in the bin and of course it looks like he's having a breakdown
But I still can't believe he's doing this to Bodhi

I never thought Jan and Ffion went well together
