I have a vague memory of a fire, but between Holby and Casualty, there have been so many fires, accidents, gunmen, etc, it's all a bit of a blur.

I agree that it felt like two ordinary episodes stitched together, rather than a Big Special Episode. Normally a special end/start of series episode would have a helicopter containing a woman in labour crashing into the waiting room at the very least, but I guess it's difficult to film such things with Covid restrictions.

The next major renovation of the department came in December 2011 when a fire broke out, which resulted in the destruction of the majority of the building. (CAS: "Next of Kin - Part Two") It was officially opened around a month later following extensive building work and repairs.

A month for major rebuilding work? Wow, what miracle-working builders were they employing?

I think the fire was when Lenny, Yuki and May were first introduced, there was a fourth F2 called Heather who died in a blazing elevator shaft! Adam tried to save her.

I don't recall any of those characters nor a F2 dying the day she started, let alone the actual fire.

I'm starting to wonder if I actually watch Casualty or I just think I do!!!

Most frustrating episode - two characters making bad decisions.

I like Ethan, and I know he's grieving, but I could probably do without ghost Cal, so if we can have a usual Casualty-style recovery where next week, some patient's near-death experience makes him realise how blessed he is so he can do without ghost Cal, that's fine by me.

I thought the directing was well done in that we never saw Ethan hold Bodhi or even interact with him in any meaningful way - really showed his distance from him.

And, more shallowly, can't get used to Iain's haircut.

Thought the leaving th baby on the doorstep and hiding was an odd move.

I mean, they know where he lives!!!

Plus won't they need all the expensive and fancy baby gear?

I know! I mean, does he think that that's it now? That the parents will just shrug their shoulders and commit to the next eighteen years of child-rearing without even popping round to have a chat about the fact that he abandoned his baby on their doorstep?

Yes, I do hope they don't drag it out so that he actually gets married to her.

I mean I know real life abusive relationships are ended quickly but this is Casualty, where're pace is speedier than life's actual pace.

Tina is terrifying. My guess is that she wrote that message on the back of the photo herself (purposefully disguising her handwriting of course) as just the next move in her manipulative craziness.
