What happened to Tom Cruise on Graham Norton

The episode has disappeared! It was taken off from last Friday evening due to all the Philip TV coverage, and rescheduled for tonight. Now it’s completely disappeared!
I’ve been so looking forward to it both times. Anyone hazard a guess where it’s gone? I’ve checked schedules for this coming Friday and it’s series finished, compilation episodes from now on.

He literally comes across as a bad actor playing Tom cruise. He is acting himself.
IMO it’s all a mask. A well worn one but one that has slipped many times

I still can't get over the brainwashed child bride incident tbh.

I think he’s good at “being Tom Cruise” but you also wonder if there actually is anything else there.

I know someone who has worked on a couple of his films in a very junior job and they have always said how incredibly nice he is and so lovely and kind - they didn't think the same of Angelina Jolie

I saw GN tonight and like others thought he looked very put together and better than when I last saw him on tv - whatever he has had done works well unlike Mrs T C 2

Cannot stand the bloke since watching that Panorama docu years ago about him and the Scientology assholes who were destroying ppl's lives after they'd left.
Vile man.

He's a scientologist which means he is a horrible human being. He seems so fake and odd.

Apparently Christian Bale modeled his Patrick Bateman on Tom Cruise.

He is not "lovely and kind". He is a machine. Tom Cruise has spent 30 odd years building the TC brand-working relentlessly, totally focused on being the biggest star possible. All else is irrelevant. You can't compare him to normal humans. Most Hollywood stars are the same, honestly, they are not comparable to normal people at all. And not in a good way. (ex-film industry)

Yeah, Christian Bale=a younger Tom Cruise (albeit a better actor)

It's because of the thing that happened between Tom Cruise and Prince Phillip. On the yacht.

Don't post the details. This is a UK site, so the thread will get pulled incredibly fast.

I'm not sure I believe it anyway- I think Philip was too old even back then.

@Sssloou

He really is a tedious bore isn’t he. He has the personality of a paper cup.

That's not fair. I've some very nice paper cups I'll have you know and they're greatly offended at the comparison.

It must have been a shock to Suri for Tom to just disappear from their lives. It certainly couldn't have been good given the lengths Katie Holmes went through to leave him

Haven't seen this as don't watch celbrity programming anyway but T. Cruise is the absolute top of my personal cancellation list. I agree with pp who have said essentially how can you support by watching the career of anyone associated with the apparantly criminal organisation? Let alone a senior member such as T.Cruise.

Totally agree with this , Blakes77, and I am not involved with the film industry not even as far as watching the output.

He's a brilliant actor, but seems a bit of a weirdo. Apparently he's quite high up in the scientology world, which involves paying them a shed load of money, which opens the way to gain special other worldy knowledge. I listened to a very interesting podcast where Louis Theroux interviewed an actress who left the cult years ago, which was quite an eye opener. Apparently the people who pay the most in seem to gain more acceptance and prestige... quite disturbing really.

Everytime I see him being interviewed he seems to think he is the most important person there. He talks over other peoples interviews, butts in constantly, starts interviewing people himself like the host isn’t there. All seems very false, but he’s normally a better actir than that so maybe thats the way he really is.

@bonfireheart

Prince Philip didn't approve of Tom Cruise, so it's been cancelled.

Fishing trips are notorious. That's why I prefer to stay on dry land.

I’ve name changed for this for fear of repercussions, but I heard ‘She Who Must Not Be Named’ said something on the Oprah interview too. There was no way they were going to air it.

Wasn't it a cruising incident on a fishing trip?

He seems personable enough. But then you think "whoah! Scientology! Wtf!".

I do remember him seeming pretty genuinely impressed when he met Kelly Holmes on a chat show once - I'm pretty sure he asked her on an evening out as his plus one and she was unable to go.

Something not very nice.

Any man who dumps his child and encourages his other children to dump their mother cannot be good news. I haven’t watched it but think TC lost his way around the time he walked out on NK.
