If we're now at Sept 1998 and Emma is born May 1999 Fiona will already be pregnant. I very much doubt that Emma was thought about by the scriptwriters until 2018 when she appeared on the street.

I was thinking that poor baby Emma few weeks gestation off to … wherever. See you in 2019!

I’m not interested in the Jim/Steve storyline which seemed to have dominated the episode so I’m not too bothered but it would’ve been nice to have seen Fiona’s mum again.

I think fiona not telling Steve she's pregnant is quite incongruous, I think she would have got back in touch to tell him, no matter how much she might hate him at the moment
Yes the physio or occupational therapist whatever he is, is getting weirdly attached to the McDonald's, even in 1998 he would have had a busy case load.

Shows how much society has changed most youngest are working at 16 if not married moved out by 17/18. Fiona had shop by 21 then baby and settled and almost married. Much easier to make Your mark and get along with housing etc. I know friends who bought in London this time for £30k flat. Doubled in like 5y then doubled again in another 5. Now prob half a million for tower block flat!

Jack's brother died a few years ago abd Jack was a beneficiary of his life insurance policy, he got £30,000,with that money and selling the house him and Vera bought the pub, but then a year or two ago (in their time) they had a big tax bill, and they couldn't pay it, so Alec bought half the pub, they have now sold back their half of the pub to Alec, hence the money in the bank but they are still working and living in the pub.

I am really enjoying watching the early years of Royand Hayley together. They play it so well too.

This is now the highlight of my day I’m so enjoying them. I had presumed they had got married but not sure when the law changed or what happens if or when her trans status becomes more public.

I think they do get married at some point, but I think they have a relationship blessing ceremony, quite a while before the law changed

“The girls” all thought he had done something bad like sexual assault I assume. And that’s why she left in tears. He couldn’t say the truth nor did Hayley want him to but as the girls threatened strikes if she didn’t come back. They sort agreed some
Misunderstanding and she could come back. So nobody else knows anything though I suspect not for much longer.
