MiddleThorpe Hall is a lovely National Trust Historic Hotel near Leeds, stayed there with a friend and did the taster menu with wine. All gorgeous.

I think they're getting a really good experience here. He's trusting their judgement and letting them get on with it. No barging in to take over like you sometimes see.

Dh has just said we’ll probably be on holiday then. For my 50th we went to a Ferran Alba disciple”s place in Barcelona. Think it was about 150 euros each ten years ago.

I just looked at Le Gavroche. The 8-course menu is £373 per person if you want the 'posh' wine

We went for our silver wedding anniversary, it was worth every penny and Michel stopped by our table for a natter 🥰
