I said to dp that the lobster first course would be about £30 in the restaurant, he scoffed and said more like £200 (we're not used to fine dining ) Just checked on online and it's more like £60 which I suppose considering the caviar, lobster etc is more realistic !

Blimey, just looked at our local posh gaff. £205 per person! Wine £115 per person. Fuck me! Mike can’t be serious if he thinks “that’ll do” will do.

I just looked at Le Gavroche. The 8-course menu is £373 per person if you want the 'posh' wine. Back to the Wimpy for us.
