Anaemic looking sweetbreads.

a Persian stew that no one has heard of

Coming late to the thread and dodgy connection, but that is one of my very favourite things. I am not Persian. I am a fat and aging Sarf Lunnoner with access, in normal times, to ingredients
It really is delicious.

Wolfcub · 08/04/2021 21:36

Not even pastry can make sweetbreads attractive

littlbrowndog · 08/04/2021 21:36

That Botox is glinting under the light

awesomekillick · 08/04/2021 21:36

The desert looks easier than the other two dishes - or am I talking sweetbreads?

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:37

I wouldn't eat sweetbreads if you paid me.

Sweetbreas expensive? When living in a garret just off Portobello Road with my 1st husband we had them regularly as they were so cheap (1978).

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:37

@awesomekillick stop talking sweetbreads 🤣

An interesting challenge for Mike. Desserts are a very different proposition and he needs a completely different skill set here.

viques · 08/04/2021 21:37

Has Mike ever needed to cook a dessert before? I can’t imagine anyone would ever have room for pudding after one of his multi meat feasts.

Oh dear, never cooked veal, never cooked sweetbreads. Eek.

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:38

Mike probably wants to throw a pork chop into that dessert.

Me neither, Pebble. My Dad is a meat inspector and the way the talks about them is very offputting.

GrouchyKiwi · 08/04/2021 21:38

Come on, Alexina. Don't mess up.

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:39

@GrouchyKiwi meat inspector!! Bet thats an interesting job?

@EsmaCannonball

There are doctors who've heard the words 'bone marrow' less than the average Masterchef viewer this year.
Bone marrow has been this seasons nasturtium leaves. Both equally disgusting.
Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:39

Tom really needs a better primer.

It's quite eery how quiet the kitchen is, makes me quite sad (and excited for things opening up again).

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 08/04/2021 21:40

Pancreas pie

Ugh no thanks!

GrouchyKiwi · 08/04/2021 21:40

He definitely has stories.

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:40

I wouldn't cope in a service kitchen. I'd literally fall apart.

Blimey, just looked at our local posh gaff. £205 per person! Wine £115 per person. Fuck me!
Mike can’t be serious if he thinks “that’ll do” will do.

Pebbledashery · 08/04/2021 21:41

Why is fine dining basically eating the most disgusting parts of meat.. 🤮🤮

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 08/04/2021 21:41

Mike is making a mess

TheDogsMother · 08/04/2021 21:41

Michel is lovely.
