Noticed the last thread is almost full

I got waylaid at the pub so just finished watching the replay without knowing the score - wow what a match - thought it was going to a third set tie break

Missed watching it with you all - will catch up on all your ramblings later. Rafa looked so relieved to win - poor Stef looked a bit stunned - hope he doesn’t go into a downward spiral now

Fizzy it was great match (I can say that now it's over). They both played well- Rafa needs to go off and work on his serve a bit before Madrid though. Traditionally, it's his worst clay tournament (he's only won it 5 times .

Yes it was a great match Raahh - for some reason it wasn’t quite as stressful watching it not live even though I didn’t know the score - a lot of errors from Rafa but he still came through - phew!

Is Madrid where the altitude doesn’t suit Rafa? I never imaging Madrid being very high up but geography isn’t my strong point.

Afternoon Jane - I had got used to watching over the last 2 weeks, Ihave been doing a bit of score watching of Munich/Estoril.

I haven't quite recovered from yesterday's match, really- way too stressful. We need less of that, in Madrid!

Maybe drunk tennis watching is the way forward

I thought Madrid was this week - there still seems to be some speculation about Roger playing in Madrid but I thought he was only playing in Geneva and the French Open?

I suppose I’d better do something useful if the tennis isn’t on - I think Rafa will probably need a long rest after yesterday’s match

Oh wow! That video . It's a bit like 'we paid a fortune for this costume, best make the most of it!'. But is he a lizard or a fish (with a tail)? .

It would have been funny if he had taken his mask off and revealed someone famous though.

The bit when he had to rearrange his tail before he sat on the bench ouch!

I also saw on the twitter page where Rafa dived into the pool (which he always does after he wins). He had taken his shirt off- but had his socks on! (full of clay) .

In the first picture of him running to the pool, he doesn't look especially thrilled .

Bet the pool cleaners were delighted .

Fizzy I'd be up for dressing up too. Can you imagine the faces on Centre Court if there was a dancing strawberry?

I'm actually surprised that Rafa- who puts towels down for his kit bag- went in the pool in his grubby socks . Maybe he just forgot?

I can't imagine Roger jumping in a pool at all- socks or not! Unless he changed into mongrammed swimming trunks first. .
