More to the point, I wonder where the scriptwriters going to take Isaac's descent into hallucinations and paranoia? It doesn't bode well for the character's story arc.

I wasn't completely aware of what the symptoms are with schizophrenia and how it can affect people. I had to look it up online.
Like many, I did believe it was a ' split personality' ( the word comes from the Greek language for 'split' , so it's not that unusual for people to think this could be solely the case)
In fact there is lot more to it ( according to the NHS website anyway)

I think split personality generally better describes some types of personality disorder and even being bipolar (where the mood swings can make for very different seeming behaviours/personalities from the same person).

Bi polar and it's many layers was done well by the actress that plays Jean : how one minute she depressed and unmotivated the next she was quite manic and wanted to do loads of things. She does play her character well though. We got to know Jean for a while before she was given any big story lines. With Isaac its different as he hasn't been around for that long.
I'm sure that Lola will struggle with a big change in his behavior.

Yes Bernie lost her baby at around 20 weeks.

They decided to bury the baby there for some reason (I can't remember why now though) . It was very well done and very sad. The dad came along too , it was a boy she knew from school , not a regular character.

I'm not sure she was actually buried there or if they just had a memorial and buried some baby things. The baby was cremated so I suppose they could have buried the ashes.

Ruby and Martin had a memorial for their baby at the allotments too!

We warmed to Karen and Bernie that day.
I like Bernie , even if she did steal someone's mobile phone once! I hope she gets together with the girl who owned the dog they rescued.

They did have a character with schizophrenia a few years ago....late 90s I/early 00s. It was Joe Wicks, I think he was a son of David Wicks. Paul Nicholls played him IIRC. It was very well done as I remember.

Sometimes the BBC do mental illness well in EE, other times not so well. Stacey and Jean have been brilliant with the bipolar story line. But Frank Butcher's mum (cant remember name) had dementia, and that (I think) wasn't done so well. She went from forgetting why she'd gone into a shop to not knowing anyone within a month, when it fact the change is usually very gradual and often is only really noticed on hindsight.
