Anyone coming to watch with me?

They've done wild cards in the past, where a spectacular dish was put through regardless of the chef's overall scores. It was in addition to the chef who was put through in that week's competition. They don't do it often though and it has to be really exceptional.

I love Andi Oliver, she’s just totally refreshing. I think she’s rejuvenated the series a bit.

I agree with a PP though that I think it should be done on dishes, not entire menus, a dish they give 40 to can be missed from the banquet because they cock up another course and get a low score.

I am enjoying seeing some new faces on there though, loved the sound of Nathan’s BBQ restaurant

I think faffed with eggs are my biggest pet hate on cooking shows.

Same, I can’t eat eggs even vaguely runny

Yep, coddled eggs just makes me think snotty eggs 🤢

The list of celebs for masterchef has come out but it just said the series would be on in the summer:

I like the sound of these mains, hearty. They'll probably end up with tiny pasties and I'll feel hungry.

These two from the North East are spectacularly good, I'd love to eat in their restaurants
