I know chefs are busy people but I think they would do well to watch loads of past episodes to learn what does and doesn't work well on this show. Never do sous vide, never microwave a sponge, never cook something which could be accused of being a restaurant-standard roast dinner, and if you're just going to serve something on a plate with a card explaining the inspiration then remember you'll be up against people who've built their own rocket-launcher or steamship.

I am glad to see that some judges are disapproving of sous vide, hopefully its use will reduce - gives an odd texture, I think.

I think it's bizarre to cook red meat that way. But understand it's a reasonable idea for fish for a banquet.

By calling Richard shouty man I wasn't suggesting he's nasty, just loud. And it was a shame to move from a female dominated kitchen to a male one within the week. Given we often have weeks with Andi as the only woman.

I felt that Nick was done over on the dish he altered due to feedback, as the alterations clearly ruined it.

I think that’s the first time that I’ve cried at the great British menu! I don’t expect Jude to win, but I’m glad he did.

Yes @TrashPanda! Daniel Clifford came across as a right old bullying, patronising prat with that. These guys are all professional chefs, telling them off like naughty school children is ridiculous!

He held his cutlery like a toddler too. So annoying!

I’ve only managed to get as far as them being presented with their stuffed rose, but I noticed that too @iklboo… Wifi is playing up over here so having to watch in sections!

Didnt they used to have a chef judge in the kitchen at this stage? I remember one year the chefs getting really pissed off when they were told they wouldn't all get to compete all courses.

Quite, complaining about crab in a dish from Cornwall feels incredibly mean right now with all the issues they are having.

It does look like someone spilled potpourri on a light box, rather than food.

I think it’s the combination of the headband with the neckline of that dress to be fair
