I think the teens should be given a spinoff show, I'm fed up with them. Amy can stay though, and Daisy can go with the teens.

I completely forgot to mention - why did Roy make chilli con carne with rice ‘the special’? Has he not noticed that, despite having displayed a poster advertising curry and rice at £3.75 for at least ten years, no one has ever ordered it? In fact, no one has ever ordered anything other than a Full English, a bacon barm or the cakes for the factory cake run - oh, and the obligatory milkshake that is the cure-all for distressed pre-teens.

I've noticed a Costa in the background of the street scene now (only just starting watching again after a looooong time away), it doesn't seem to be affecting Roys Cafe? Wouldn't the teens rather have a frappuccino?

They do mention it or carry a costa cup from time to time. Guess once a month or so? Not sure of the advertising deal they made. But yes tens would more likely hang out there than Roy’s.

I think somewhere like Roy’s could probably survive by virtue of being a more traditional greasy spoon. Dev’s, on the other hand, would probably be long gone with a Co-Op just around the corner.

Of tea not £3.50! I love our local Costa but by the time you have bought few coffees and cake you could have had two course meal in a greasy spoon. They do have their place.

I'll never get over a bill of £9 for two posh coffees and one big biscuit the last time I I went in a Costa with my mum.

One Euro for a lindt chocolate in our local one, not even a choice of filling. I'd go to Roy's for the gossip.

I’d quite like Roy to retire (how old is he?) and give cafe to Nina she can run it as cat/gothic/fashions of Dracula drop in cafe. It could be the new community centre and run all sorts.

It would be nice to see Daniel with Bertie and Paul and his nieces and nephews looking after them in their man flat.

I just watched a classic Corrie where Des has moved his latest gf in with her 2 children. The older one is a teen age girl and she is the real life sister of Sam Aston who we know as Chesney. She is him in a wig!!

@Wendyhause the boy in the picture you posted is his brother who was in it as Tommy Duckworth I believe. They all look like the same person

Costa tea is horrible. At least you get a proper cup in Roy’s.
