Jules should write one of those how to get everything you want books like The Secret.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 28/02/2021 15:10

Can I speak to my MAFS5 hitches (😂) for a second please?

What's with Dean??? Fesses up to meeting Davina behind his Mrs's back and then says he wants to make things work with Trace?? I smell a rat.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 28/02/2021 15:10

Dammit, bitches not hitches!!

happinessischocolate · 28/02/2021 15:53

@paintfairy

You can quietly have someone's back though without screaming and shouting. And Nic never did. Unlike Michael. Although that makes me angry because he shouldn't be backing her at all!

As for Sam- since he's never been able to tell the difference between when he's lying and when he's not, I'm not sure I'd be jumping to believe anything he said!

So you're saying that Nic should stand up for Cyrell even though they're not together anymore, he doesn't agree with her volatile behaviour AND she threw him under the bus when talking to her brother. Where was all her standing up for people then, when her brother told Nic to leave.

And yet Michael, who is still with Martha and obviously in love with her, and she's never done anything bad to him, shouldn't stand up for her 🤷‍♀️

I was amused by Martha telling Michael that Cyrell went for him because he's the weak link, and yet Michael stood up to Cyrell fine, it was Martha who fell flat on her face 😂

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 28/02/2021 16:05

Yes happiness - I’m contrary like that. Grin

To be fair Cyrell wasn’t there wheni in her brother played the get out of dodge card. Yes she should have stuck up for him at the table but I think the family dynamics were all wrong and I’m not sure it wouldn’t have inflamed the situation. For both of them Sad

The writing was on the wall by that point too. They both knew deep down it wasn’t happening but neither wanted to end it.

She absolutely should have stuck up for him and I know I thought it and I hope I posted it!

I don’t think Cyrell is bad - just a bit broken.

Marfa is not nice. What she has said about Cyril has been shocking. And to consider pouring wine in her proved it wasn’t a flash of temper. She absolutely wanted to humiliate her. And planned it.

Nic absolutely should not have fannied after Marfa.

And Michael should’ve really called Marfa out on that.

Besom that she is Angry

Perhaps if they’d (Nic and Cyril) both stuck up for eachother when it really really mattered, they might’ve stuck. Who knows?

Martha showed exactly who she was in that moment. And 90% of the people at that table chose not to see it. She has such an entitled free pass in life I’m surprised she is not a bloke.

Benjispruce2 · 28/02/2021 16:26

As viewers we can see who is intrinsically good and bad. We know Cyrell is absolutely right in her judgment but wrong in her choice of behaviour. I will always stand up for the principle at stake so I’m team Cyrell. Michael is a good bloke too but he’s blinded by love and can’t see the bad in Martha.... for now.

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2021 16:31

I wonder how good of a person Michael is when he can stand by and let his wife call another woman a dog, say she should be in a zoo, etc. without comment or not chastise her for throwing a drink over her.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 28/02/2021 16:36

sinister

True dat...

Indeed jane

For me saying nothing at all means that he is condoning the behaviour. He might say something privately but that means nowt.

I hate confrontation but I couldn’t stand by and listen to that without saying something.

Even Ines told them to wind it in didn’t she?

Indeed that was a mystery! I suspect producers told him he wouldn't be able to continue the ixperiment with DaviNA and he figured that it's better to stay with Tracy then leave all together
JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 28/02/2021 17:12

Cyrell might be gobshite who upset people but personally I have 100x more respect for people who have gumption and integrity and 'what you see is what you get' than total fakes (Marfa) and flakes (Michael) who keep quiet about their opinions to keep the peace.

PickleC · 28/02/2021 17:20

Cyrell may not have a lock on her mouth, and she may well need to rein in her temper on occasion, but she is coming from a broadly good place and for me that sets her apart from Insta and Marfa. She hated seeing friends upset and mucked about and was able to set some of the niceties of social convention aside and say that.

Insta and Marfa however have seemingly been given a free pass all their lives because of how they look and will meddle with anyone else for fun or their own benefit and not give two shits if that has created problems in those relationships.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 28/02/2021 17:39

Exactly you two.

Cyril comes from a good place. Gobshitey certainly but from a good heart.

Those two little harpies have only their own interests at heart. Fuck everyone else. Fuck making a man cry. Enjoy smirking at that and the other telling him how he should feel.

I would rather have a friend like Cyrell (who probably doesn’t surround herself with the likes of these two and would therefore be a lot calmer) than those two two faced groomed guttersnipes.

I’ve had my moments with Cyril but her heart is true.

Thanks @JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows - he just seems to have had a personality transplant!

paintfairy · 28/02/2021 18:08

@happinessischocolate I was talking more generically in their relationship, not that one occasion. He never really had her back throughout. At the table I wouldn't have expected him to get involved, but then he seemed to ask Martha if she was ok after, like she was the victim. Which is rubbing salt in it.

If my other half randomly did something horrific, I wouldn't back him up if I didn't agree with his behaviour. Which is what annoys me about Michael. Martha is so underhand and nasty and he never seems to think it's a problem. Cyrell at least is fighting for the right cause (albeit inappropriately).

Bettina500 · 28/02/2021 18:28

I didn't get why they were all fussing over Martha and asking if she was ok. This is a woman who sneaked up behind another woman, poured drink over her and into her eyes, then ran and hid. Why the sympathy? They should've let Cyrell at her, that would've wiped the smirk off her smug face.
I didn't notice the same fawning over Cyrell when she came back.

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2021 18:47

Michael also said something on his Instagram about "the crumb who walked out of the final dinner party". I'm not sure if he meant Cyrell because she didn't walk out but I can't think who else he meant.

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 28/02/2021 19:35

@JaneJeffer he's referring to the Grand Reunion which brings together contestants from over a few series

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2021 20:01

Oh ok @JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows I was confused!

JaneJeffer · 28/02/2021 22:16

I've been watching some post programme stuff on YouTube. Very interesting especially about Martha!

Spill!!!
JaneJeffer · 01/03/2021 00:14

She had a big falling out with Jess and has been accused of cheating on Michael several times including while she was on the programme and hooking up with a sheikh in order to afford all the designer gear she is so fond of because Michael only has a teacher's salary! Ines was involved in accusing her of these things also. Now given that they're all liars I don't know who to believe!
