"People have said before that a lot of the women on this show seem damaged" I think they are. Sadly, a relationship (or a baby) is not the best way to deal with being damaged. I think they need therapy, Cyrell, Ning, Heidi, and Jess. The theme of abandonment by family (for the latter three) and being cheated on (for Cyrell) are very damaging. Maybe there is also the possibly of previous abandonment by men (probably fir them all, certainly seems to be the case fir Cyrell and Ning). And it is this that makes them unhappy and acting out. I think the show is at fault for having so many damaged people.

I'd be interested in watching The Circle. I saw seasons 1 and 2, TheLittleRedToothbrush.

I watched the grand reunion and cyrell is still raging. two years later. She really annoyed me. Fighting other peoples battles all the time

See I thought she was spot on and everyone got what they deserve! And in fairness people had been making comments about her son

And yes the show is misogynistic - getting normal, stable men and damaged women together. Women always being way out of the men's leagueS and I notice that the women are just there to serve the men's preferences. When the ixperts are 'matching' contestants they say "Julie is a really grounded, fun and intelligent woman, which is exactly what Bob needs". Never ever giving Julie what she wants!

It pisses me off that both of them are probably getting paid for being social media "influencers" which, no matter what anyone says, I don't believe is a real job. I've heard it defended as "hard work" before which to me is just insulting to people (i.e the majority of the population) who actually do work hard. Often for a pittance.

I think complicated work would be a better description than hard work, in the fact that it's not easy, it's marketing and you have to be able to keep the followers interested enough and then know when to drop an advert so it gets maximum views.

Apparently you can get up to £10k per advert if you have 1 million followers, I think Jess has about 300k followers so £3k an advert, maximum? although I'm not sure the sex toy company will pay that much. Ines had 170k think last time I looked and says she'll never have to work 9-5 again, but I think she seems to be assuming that instragram influencing will always be a thing and that she'll always have the same followers, which is very naive.

Will the grand reunion be shown after this season? I couldn't see it on the video platform thing.

@happinessischocolate you’re right about the followers, are they going to change their style as they get older to either keep the followers they’ve got interested or try and get a new lot of younger followers?

Loved last night's episode and think Monday is going to be even better. I do so hope that 'dead behind the eyes' Dan sees sense about Jess after the whole Nic thing is revealed. He wants her to be stepmum to his kid FFS.

Am I the only one who really dislikes Lizzy? I know and had a hard time on the show but God she gets on my tits with the strutting, pouting and ridiculous makeup. She looks like a drag queen.

I think Lizzy's pouting and make up is insecurity.
I would love for a reshuffle ixperiment matching Mike with Cyrell. If as we suspect this show is all about the trophy wives that the men need, Mike really needs someone like Cyrell who can kick his backside.

Lizzie, bless her, was doing my nut in with all the lady Di eyes last night.

Yes she was treated badly but all that glancing and looking all wounded? I’m not sure if it was genuine or for the cameras. It may be that it was just totally exaggerated by the comedy lashes.

I do agree that most of the women, and indeed a few of the men, shouldn’t have been picked for here.

It has been like human baiting.

I do like Cyrell. Yes she has anger issues and other ones but I like that she isn’t as duplicitous as the likes of Marfa or Jess.

She has been told/or it has been insinuated that she is a dog/belongs in a zoo/ has a face like a smashed up crab etc. If indeed they also had a pop about her son in a forthcoming reunion then I understand the rage.

Maaarfa and Jess’s behaviour has been far worse in my opinion.

And of course a lot of the behaviour is ignored or saved for a big finale in Jess’s case.

The ixperts/producers have been the real villains of the series.

They’ve done their ‘job’ of course. They’ve given us the drama and the means to feel bothered enough to post but at what cost? They’ve certainly been team big boys.

If the saaaaam account is true and they have been playing puppet masters then that is even worse.

And series 7 is worse by all accounts. And with a sixologist eho wants the bumping of nethers to show intimacy or commitment apparently.

If you could repair all the the couples, having seen the full series, who would you pair together?

@SheldonesqueIsUnwell exactly - she knew him for all of about 24 hours before he upped and left. You'd think she'd have built a bridge and got over it 4 months later. I just find her irritating. I hope she's less so in series 7.

Martha and Jess are great examples of the the Roald Dahl quote:

If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.

Jess in particular got repulsive towards the end. However, Martha is the absolute worst kind of person.

MAFS was great, however, I honestly felt 40 episodes is so excessive. Many episodes were dull and made up with lots of filler.

There were too many couples and the new couples were unnecessary.

I don’t blame them all for trying to cash in on Instagram but I hope they realise it won’t last. Mel is teeny tiny now, well they’ve all lost far too much weight apart from Jules and Heidi who both have more to them apart from insta adverts. It is sad but maybe I’m just old!

I think I’d probably put,

Mark and Lauren together, maybe? Lauren clearly had a high sex drive and a bit of oomph about her, I think that would pair well with Mark.

Melissa and Mick. I reckon Melissa would get stuck in more than Jess did, and Melissa is more down to earth.

Nick and Tamara. I don’t know why, I Just think they’d suit!

And finally why not out Mike and Jess together. Just for lols. They’d either scrap every day or realise there’s a fine line between love and hate and just end up shagging all the time

Exactly, I've spent more time eyeing up the cake in my kitchen deciding whether to have another slice than Lizzie and Saaam spent together.

I'd like to watch the next series just to see if Lizzie acts any differently, but don't want to be dragged back into the swamp that is MAFS 😂

As much as I feel outrage at some shenanigans - and petit spoilers would suggest it only gets worse - I fear I will be drawn in fairly quickly.

I wonder if Lizzie is going to be quite so annoying. I should imagine that the ixperts will be though.

I am intrigued and fascinated at their idea of matching people. My nan used to say there was a sock for every shoe. I think this can work.

But not while the ixperts and producers or whoever are insistent on antimatching.

And, if I’m honest, I am more entertained by the threads and the posters on them than the contestants.

You will see in the final episode how wishy-washy Nic is and it explains why Cyrell found him exasperating.

I was looking at Jules and Cam's wedding photos and I saw Heidi as a bridesmaid but not Melissa.

Ines is mad as a box of frogs

She looks so ill. And her Instagram posts are deranged. She needs help I think

Ines looked really drawn and ill at the dinner party. She’s tiny anyway but that dress looked far too big on her. She always has her hair scraped back into a really severe ponytail, it’s a massive contrast to the flicky flicky girls like Martha and Jess.
I don’t think Suzy was shown speaking in that episode, she clearly wasn’t good entertainment
Mel’s face was hideous, so much filler/Botox. She would be so much more attractive without all that.
Cyrell is my hero, what a girl! I am so hoping that Michael sees the real Martha and leaves her but he is too much of a puppy dog to do so.
I am so looking forward to the chickens coming home to roost for Jess. Mick telling Cyrell the truth about Jess and Nic was exquisite.
