Join the MN Coronation Street thread today and you too could have an exciting lifestyle where you earn your own money, set your own hours and most definitely do not end up eating the chocolate off the Bounty at the bottom of the Celebrations tub out of desperation! Absolutely not a pyramid selling scheme, hun!

I thought Nick acted well too.
Sometimes the less said the better. There is nothing like a shaking of the head and a big pause.

Yes, Nick was good last night. No screeching and yelling, which so many Corrie characters do all the time.

I quite liked Nina and Roy too last night (and Roy & Sam). And Nina backing off from Asha a bit! Also thought the scenes with Ed and Paul were better, more like the old Corrie - banter and kindness over trivial things.

As well as Todd being involved with drug dealers, wasn't Adam involved in something shifty when he first arrived that hasn't been resolved?

Yes it was good with Ed and Paul. Making a cock up of a kitchen cupboard... we need more inane everyday stuff like this!
And I liked how Paul is so grateful for the chance he's got, Ed was kind.

Seeing Paul in a scene without the caricatures that are Holy Billy and Scheming Todd was very refreshing.

Who will Paul end up living with??

Agree it was a good episode last night- more like old Corrie.

I actually thought Simon was going to assault Leanne last night. I know he was abusing her in the past. Hopefully they aren’t going down that path again.

@PennyRoyal

Not sure if you are referring to when Adam had not qualified as a solicitor but was desperate to do so, then did a bit of forgery to speed up his being able to practise. I think Ken was aware of it at the time and naturally disapproved.

Or was there something else bonny Adam was into?

Adam was defo into drugs in the past. Didn't he end up in Wethy general and Ken disowned him?

Wasn't Adam's first appearance with him beaten up and thrown out into Ken's backyard? Perhaps I am remembering wrong (not unusual!).

Re Adam: there was some business with a stolen car (?) when he first arrived, but it was never explained.

What happened to the gay grandson?

He conned Sophie Webster into funding a drop-in centre using Kevin’s lottery money and then did a runner with the cash.

I thought at first, seeing as we saw Paul discussing it with Ed, that Ed was going to invite him to live with them - despite having five adults there already. But now he’s suddenly been in a scene with Daniel out of nowhere - the same Daniel who’s without a flatmate since Adam and Sarah reunited - I think I can guess where Paul is heading.

Does the flat have more than one bedroom? I'd love elastic housing! I quite liked Ed last night, I quite liked everyone, and I hadn't had a glass of wine.
I didn't like Daisy or Jacob though, or cell mate in prison. Gary is currently kindly.

It didn’t in the 80s/90s, but seemingly grew one a few years back, as Adam, Daniel and Sinead all lived there together at one point. (Unless it was a set-up for a late-night special that didn’t happen Shock)

Would that Daisy be entitled to anything if Jenny and Johnny divorced and something happened to Jenny?

She’s not even legally Jenny’s step daughter any more. Actually im not sure if Jenny was even married to daisys dad. I’m almost sure Jenny referred to her as a “sort of stepdaughter” so I’m guessing she was the dads partner for some time.

eggandonion · 02/03/2021 20:08

The dad of Daisy wasn't the dad of Jenny's son, was he? I'm sure she's not entitled to anything but she seems so nasty she might force Jenny to give her half of everything.

The drug things was realistic you can’t
Just walk away when you owe money or expect to be left in peace after. Though confused why paying rent when it’s Nik flat?

Why is Gary still in prison blimey

Oh I’d forgotten about Jenny’s son. I’m not sure if same father.

I wouldn’t put it past daisy for trick Jenny into signing the pub over to her.

Jenny kidnapped a kid right? She’s hardly been fairy clean and a good catch whatever that is. Her and Jonny are quite well depressingly suited! Amused that Jonny was hoping and Skipping up to visiting table he could least been in the hospital wing.

Surely Tim could just pay off Yasmeen and Geoff's debts even if she objects. They are his dad and stepmother's debts so surely it would be appropriate?
