Is anyone watching it out of all the bad press she gets you can see she really cares about Harvey

They have such a close bond- I've never seen them together before.

Hope he gets into the fancy college.

LunaNorth · 25/01/2021 21:41

I was looking for a thread on this.

She has raised a lovely, loving, polite young man there. Credit to her.

I hope he gets his funding.

Ziggydancer · 25/01/2021 21:44

What a polite boy Harvey is 🙂 Katie has such a lovely close relationship with him..hope he gets into the collage.

JulieJJ · 25/01/2021 21:46

It is so good of her to raise the profile on how hard this is for parents of young people with complex needs. All credit to her.

Overwhelmed245 · 25/01/2021 21:49

There relationship is so lovely especially when he asked about her pain and feet made me cry

The relationship between mom and son is great.
He is calm in her presence. She has done a fantastic job.
Nice to see him interacting with his siblings.
Hope he gets to go to the college which will meet his needs and develop him.
His father Dwight York is a a pathetic example of a man. Heyhoy he has a wonderful mom to make up for it.

applecatchers36 · 25/01/2021 21:56

Really moving to see their bond and how she is determined to get things right for Harvey. What a sweet guy he is. Impressed the way she was connected to other parents of kids with complex needs. She was recognising that for him to grow in independence she might need to let go a bit for him to continue to grow into a young man.

AnyFucker · 25/01/2021 21:56

What happened to Katie's legs ?

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2021 21:58

It was such a heart warming programme.

Harvey is a credit too her. He's so polite and so funny too.

WorraLiberty · 25/01/2021 21:58

@AnyFucker

What happened to Katie's legs ?
She broke both her heels in a water park accident apparently.
CoolShoeshine · 25/01/2021 22:00

What a heartwarming programme. Katie is probably the best person in the country for promoting issues faced by young people with learning disabilities and their families. She talks very intelligently and honestly on these matters and is incredibly loving and compassionate towards Harvey. Her other children seemed well brought up and lovely with him too. I hope they do a follow up programme sometime.

Hueandcry · 25/01/2021 22:00

Harvey is so sweet & a credit to her. I hope he gets into that College, he seemed happy there

@Anyfucker I think she broke bones in her feet in a swimming pool

Popfan · 25/01/2021 22:01

She's a wonderful mum to Harvey. It was heartbreaking to hear the story of the boy who was sectioned, just terrible. I so hope Harvey gets his funding to go to their chosen college.

FourCandelabras · 25/01/2021 22:03

They seem to have such an amazing bond. She gets a lot of bad press, but is clearly a great mum to him.

Defenbaker · 25/01/2021 22:04

It's nice to see her coming across in a positive light, being a loving mum, unlike previous programmes where she appeared to be very self absorbed. Well done KP.

AnyFucker · 25/01/2021 22:05

Ok, thanks. Was just curious.

I saw a few minutes of the programme. I too think she has a very lovely relationship with Harvey.

I remember when that scottish prick comedian made some foul "jokes" about them. She was dignified but would not let it go.

HmmSureJan · 25/01/2021 22:05

All her kids are lovely, well mannered and well adjusted. She's clearly a good mother and I have to wonder just how awful a person she can be - speaking of how she is dragged in the media here - to have done that

BenoneBeauty · 25/01/2021 22:08

I thought it was a great programme - she has done so well with him and her other children seem lovely too.

I hope he gets into the school he wants to.

Nohomemadecandles · 25/01/2021 22:09

She gets a really bad rap, bless her. She is, I think, the first early victim of the reality tv "celeb" phenomenon.

MaddieElla · 25/01/2021 22:13

I watched all of her various reality series and although she is a bit of a car crash relationship wise, the way she is and has been with Harvey for 18 years is unwavering.

How anyone can slate her for introducing her to the college is beyond me. Even Katie Hopkins said nice things about her. Shock

Toddlerteaplease · 25/01/2021 22:14

Love the bit where he was mimicking the station announcer.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/01/2021 22:16

I used to have a friend who went to that college. He loved it. Though I thought it was more for physically disabled young adults rather than LD and autism. Hope he gets in.

HmmSureJan · 25/01/2021 22:17

Wonder if his disgusting "father" ever thinks of how he abandoned his disabled child? Don't think he ever even met him did he?

LunaNorth · 25/01/2021 22:17

His friends were so nice, too.

Thornrose · 25/01/2021 22:21

I'm going to watch but not yet. I'm not her biggest fan but when it comes to Harvey she's incredible. I had to make the decision to send my daughter with autism to residential college. 100s of miles away from home. Hardest decision of my life. I hope it opens people's eyes to some families reality.
