Is it just me or is she really fake?

I thought the segment about the lambing lovely and her boys seem nice natural kids, a credit to her . I thought that bit was very annoying. Although I'm always interested in other people's lambing. I'm sure I've seen the lambing woman before.

The whole thing was embarrassingly tone deaf.

I sat and slagged her off whilst watching this, then I realised I was just green with envy so I tried to shut my mouth.

It was terribly smug but she has done very well for herself, worked hard and I just wish I had an ounce of her get up and go.

I will watch again and try not to be such a envious cow.

Anyone else wondering when there's going to be any building going on?! Hmm

It’s rather sloooooow isn’t it?

Dicken? Ffs. I take back my earlier comments, they are fucking ridiculous.

It's Diccon. Like in The Secret Garden.

God its bloody dull. Wish they'd get on with it

Did she sell the London home? She was asking a lot for it.

I'm enjoying it, watching Sarah Beeney is comfort food for me, reminds me of the noughties watching her programmes.
Lovely family, light watching, don't take it too seriously.

I have a bit of a crush on her

Her brother and family live in the area. He is married to Graham's sister. Yes they are posh but were very polite and friendly at school. I don't move in those circles. Smile

@LilacPebbles

Give me Dick and Angel any day.

No thanks! I think they are dreadful on TV.

I've always liked Sarah. I discovered that her mother died when Sarah was a child. I think that gives you a pass to being a dick from time to time.

it really highlighted the divide between ordinary country dwellers and a wealthy family swooping in from London with a massive dollop of entitlement.

But she's from the countryside isn't she?

Report
boboroll · 18/11/2020 21:32

Plus she's rich & posh so the entitlement is there regardless of where she lives.

I watched the first episode on catch up.
It seems to me like a very odd time to move the kids to somewhere isolated.
Even if they are a taxi service for them, its pretty much taking away their independence.
Strange decision.

I'm just about to watch this as I'm intrigued by how bad it is!
I find her a bit irritating and agree that kirstie has more natural charm.
Bloody love Escape to the Chateau, it's so beautiful.

Oh god I can't stand Kirsty, anyone but her.

I gave it a swerve this week after seeing week 1. Have they started building the house yet? That’s the only bit I was interested in. I really don’t want to see another hour of utter self absorbed smugness. At a push, what I saw in week 1 could be see as light, fairly mindless viewing. But in the middle of a pandemic when thousands of people are losing their livelihoods, it left a really bad taste.
